A quite elegant and practical solution for your bike helmet when you are out walking the streets instead of leaving it on your bike.
You can make use of the cavity within the helmet, the inner pouch allowing you to store your essentials while protecting the inner lining of the helmet and your visor from getting damaged, yet maintaining a clean minimal form factor.
Wide frontal zip for easy loading of helmet. Fuss free zip opening to the quick access pouch. Tobacco Brown Murdered or Murder Out Black in full grain cow leather or 100% cotton.
On Kickstarter at The Classic Helmet Bag.
I just checked the calendar to double check, so it’s NOT April 1st, and sadly…this is NOT an April Fools joke.
Wow. end of days for motorcycling. “quite elegant and practical solution for your bike helmet when you are out walking the streets instead of leaving it on your bike.”
Again, wow.
And when you’re riding, where does the bag go? Are you supposed to have an empty, leather bag flapping around on your back?
Pabstbluerigid. You sound like the joke.
40 years in the saddle, and still riding. never had a helmet stolen or lost. that includes metro areas, rural properties and countless rallies nationwide. how is this “a thing?”
have also never had a fannypack, or manbag as pictured. and never will.
like bottled water, the pet rock…there is a market for everything?
Nice purse to go with your affliction t shirts, skinny jeans and wing tip boots, a d-bags dream come true that would be a good name
Riding 50+ years, had a helmet stolen off the bike 30+ years ago. Maybe if we want more you young people to ride and buy MC stuff, we shouldn’t make fun of them. My old Bellstar cost around $60 “back in the day”, that was less than a week’s take home pay. With some helmets going for $5k or more, and people paying big bucks for custom paint, I can see them wanting a big leather pouch to keep them in while off the bike. If I had a 5k helmet at a restaurant I’d make sure one leg of my chair was inside the shoulder strap with the helmet pouch on the floor under my chair. Don’t want one? Don’t buy one. I’m considering one for my half helmet, I can slip it under my shirt and use one of the “For Expectant Mothers” parking places close to the doors at the grocery store 😉
Not for me but I don’t think this is any more odd than guys buying a bunch of Fat he’s to sew onto a black leather vest. The cool thing is people are out there creating products. If a few of them find a market and a guy makes a buck I’m happy for him.
How did “patches” become “Fat”?
Some Jap biked used to have helmet locks, Too Practical for the non metric manufacturers ??
I have a good helmet only $800 of our dollars but they have saved my life at least 3 times so like to have a good lid ! I think a lock would be handy. I keep a small cycle lock and use that sometimes. Cheap fix
oops bikes
I’m a big fan of options! if someone believes that this helmet bag is what they need, Go for it!
@ James … I had forgotten about those bikes w/helmet locks.
Not in to designer shoulder bags.
My FXR front fork lock padlock also accommodates my chinstrap rings.
Let those who ride decide
………….. Domino Dave……………
A very nice purse.
These days I’m for anything that keeps an interest in the industry in which I work. No matter how big or small or silly looking etc….
For those of you crying ‘Get off my lawn’. SAD!
Whatever blows your skirt up!Just think how many dewrags the pretend bikers can fit in It!
Vraiment superbe idée ce sac a casque!!et il parait tres solide et tres bien fini!! a acheter, des qu’il sera mis sur le marché.
I have had lids stolen twice, although around 35 to 40 years ago. If one has a nice helmet then all the more power to those that choose to protect it in this manner.
Like others here, I am happy to see any new products in the industry that will draw interest.

Not that I am going to buy one, but the idea of the inner pouch is pretty nifty. Nice materials too.
Not needed if you wear a $20 DOT beanie.
Here’s a translation of Francesco’s comment for the rest of us English speakers:
“Really great idea this helmet bag !! and it looks very solid and very well finished! to buy, as soon as it is put on the market.”
Apparently he’s either Gay or a Millennial.
I just flew to Vegas and back. My helmet wouldn’t fit in my suitcase so I had to carry it on the plane. The bag pictured would have been handy.
I never let my helmet with the bike.
Beeing either wet from rain, sun cooked or stolen or have someone pissed inside is one of the choices.
Maybe not for you when you live out in the boonies and park under big big trees.
I had used a thin bag so far, but never happy with it.
When on a short trip into city it will not slap around more than any backpack.
I don`t get why the slamming on this is fun ?
I`m on bikes for 35 years now and i like what these guys did, making a quality product for a solution that some want.

HD Rider. Can you explain your stupid statement? “Apparently he’s either Gay or a Millennial”
I’m glad to see people buying MC accessories. I’ve never had my bank ask, “Woody, were any of your customers either Gay or a Millennial?” when I brought in the week’s deposit. I’m certainly not going to ask.
It means he is either happy or 30.
Nice bag, will look better than my girlfriends purse, I’m always trying to one up that girl!
Davis is da man!
High five.
Someone used to make a backpack that had a helmet compartment at the bottom. I have a couple of BAGMAN helmet bags that are like bowling ball bags from 20+ years ago that I use if I travel with a helmet not on a bike (flying)
I wear ARAIs and I lock on the bike (I ride European so I have helmet locks) and the only problem is that once I had a beer poured in my helmet at ROT in Austin.
All you people who say this isn’t a purse should click on the link their not selling this bag their asking for money to start a business making them to sell for 360 bucks
Well I’m certain that I’ve been doing this cycle thing too long! What is so hard to figure out? A padlock or combination lock through the D ring on your helmet and attached to something on your bike not easily removed is all you need, it also can be used to kinda secure your bike if you have a drilled rotor!
Btw if a helmet saved your life three times you might look for something else, in 50 years had to lay the bike down a few times due to cars turning into lane etc but head never contacted road?
50 years here with no problem. Last July wrecked a helmet and some bones.
No so proud now.
If you have a $10 head, but a $10 helmet. This bag is not for you.
Quality product for quality helmets. (and heads). I would like a better strap clasp to completely eliminate the chance of it detaching
buy not but
@ Hoyt…Well said.

Won’t make a differance putting a 10 dollar or 1k dollar helmet in it, put your money where your mouth is and send the guy/girl money to start making them, what I see this is like a go fund me deal but I’m kinda a low rent when it comes to siphering some things
2Kelly,
Sadly, when a helmet is locked to a bike with most setups from a seat lock to the nice “end of grip” locks, the interior of the helmet faces up. This lets any form a downward falling liquid from rain to beer to spit, to I don’t wanna know, to enter your helmet. Lots of people were raised wrong, and believe their balls will fall off if they buy the wrong brand of bike or fail to vigorously defend the honor of something or another. Then you have people that figured repairing the ring or strap of a helmet that meets a bolt cutter or large scissors is a lot less expensive than buying their own helmet, especially the really expensive ones.
As far as leaving your helmet upside down, that happened to me twice, the first time and the last time, as it is one of the things you learn quickly not to do. As far as bolt cutters etc there is another lesson learned early on, if someone wants your helmet or your bike bad enough they will get it, try leaving your helmet bag on the back of a chair while you go to the can! That or try not ever taking your eyes off it, yeah that’s how to enjoy riding!
