As you already know, Kevin Baas teaches teenagers of Kennedy High School the art of building custom motorcycles. And from time to time, one of their bikes has to be sold or raffled to continue the financing of their metal shop program. Next drawing to get the bike featured here will take place during the Donnie Smith Show (St Paul River Center on March 29, 09 at 3 PM). You don’t need to be present to win and tickets are only $20 . Buy a couple by contacting Kevin Baas at baasmetalcraft@yahoo.com or go to his Website.

Besides teaching bike building the kids learn how to run a game of chance.
What’s that supposed to mean?
Anyone that knows Kevin knows that his students education and giving them “life skills” is his passion for this class. As a supporter of Kevin and Kennedy HS, i encourage everyone to help this program. So whether you put money towards getting a raffle ticket(s) or donating your time or parts for their builds, we all will benefit as an industry. These kids are our next generation moving up and influencing the market. And for those that can only make sarcastic comments about this program (or any program that helps others) ask yourself, “what have you done recently to help someone change their future or better their life?”.
I met Kevin several years ago, and infact donated a few of our intake systems for the project bikes. Having been involved with a Vo tech school for over 30 years , I appreciate just how important projects like this are. This is a wonderful way to educate kids in real time, real world programs. Kudos to Kevin, Kennedy High School and all the students. Keep up the good work!
