High School Built Custom Motorcycle

The Bernice Mac Naughton High School Bike Klub is an after-school program that helps the kids learn about self-worth, induces confidence and respect while teaching the all the trades involved in custom motorcycle construction and creation. Canada’s only Chopper Class, has been given the honor of being invited to attend and compete in the Donnie Smith Chopper Class Challenge held during the Donnie Smith Invitational Bike Show in St Paul Minnesota the last weekend of March, 2009. The Klub’s first build “The Betty Bobber”, will be part of the competition even though the Klub needs to sell her prior to the competition to raise the funds to attend the event.  After-school programs are not funded and the klub depends on monies raised by the klub members and companies and individuals that sponsor them. That’s a cool looking bike, the kids that built it did a hell of a job, my hat is off to them.

I do like this bike. I’m sure it would make Harley Earl very proud. What a fine build.

This is a good program that helps at risk youths. I grew up in the Moncton area and wish I had something like this when I was young. Could have saved me some of my jail time. Best wishes to the club and the Director Marc Mazerolle. He donates freely of his spare time to this club. Donate what you can scratched, dented, seconds from manufacturing, spare parts etc. This only costs you postage on parts you would send to the trash bin. I have donated and will continue to donate to them. Pack your unwanted stuff up and send it to them. You will fell better having extra space in your garage and in the fact that you have helped a worthwhile organization.

    Cheers

Thanks to Cyril for this post, we have started a campaign to try and raise the money to get to the Donnie Smith Chopper Class Challenge, if you have Facebook, search for the group Bernice MacNaughton High School Bike klub and join, we are trying our best to get 10,000 people to join and each send one or two dollars, with this we would have enough money to get the bike and the kids to the show. Like Skeeter said, it is a worth while program, Skeeter and the crew over at Chopper Rod’s have been a great help to us. I encourage you to checkout the Website to see what we are all about, it’s not just bike building, it’s building young minds and showing them the lifestyle and the industry. It’s helping keep this great industry alive!!

    Later,

Its nice to see someone passing on the art of the build! More classes should be started in other parts of the US! I cant imagine the feeling of accomplishment these kids have for a job well done! Conrats to all involved in the project!
