More News About The Daytona Biker Fusion Party

bikerfusion3You already know by my former post that an All-Star list of custom motorcycle builders, industry leaders, and media traditionally meet together at the Dog House on Thursday of each Bike week. In addition to the festivities (girls, girls, girls…) the main objective is to raise money for a good cause. Proceeds from this year’s event went to the Black Hawk Medevacs and wounded soldiers in Afghanistan. The backpacks contain amenities like blankets, sweat pants, hoodies, toiletries and phone cards for wounded soldiers who have undergone emergency evacuation from a combat zone.

Customized Fender guitars and skateboards, postcards to soldiers with support words were auctioned with Russell Mitchell & Ami James taking the bids for a total f $20,000. Max Oceola, Seminole Tribe Of Florida Leader also gave $10,000 and Billy Lane donated his 1976 Harley Shovelhead to a Vietnam Veteran. And who judged the famous Biker Fusion Bikini Contest? Of course our soldiers coming back from a tour in Iraq & Afghanistan (picture left to right: Bert Baker, Bruce Rossmeyer, Christian Clayton, Billy Lane, Ami James).
