Look at their “GTO” air cleaner…….another complete rip off of Roland Sand’s products.

Wow, just checked the air cleaner! It certainely does look like it.

I like the knock offs. I can see that both the “GTO” and “The Judge” look like a 69 GTO Judge wheel. So in that respect it looks like Roland Sands and Bike Builders Bible are both knocking off Pontiac.

Back in the early 80s I owned a “Performance” car parts store, and I thought like most of you, get the highest quality, best looking accessories for the customers to buy. At the time, Moroso made a bitchin’ air cleaner/valve cover set, but it was a bit pricey, but I stocked them anyway. The consumers wanted the look, but not at the price….they wanted another brand that was 40% cheaper, and looked real close to the original….25 years later, consumers haven’t changed. BBB will do real well selling to the end users who want the “look” but not at the price of the “name brand” unit.
    Right or wrong,IMHO, that’s business.

That is a good theory but these guys are no cheaper than the people they are ripping off so based on your theory, I am not sure how they will do well.

Bike Builders Bibles Air Cleaner looks just like thier wheel. Both the Bike Builder wheel and the Bike Builder air cleaner seem to have much more detail than the Roland Sands stuff. So I can see why the Bike Builders Bible parts might actually be more expensive.
It might also be that Bike Builders made the parts for a motorcycle first. I dont know if anyone else is already offering a knock off wheel for a motorcycle, or how long Bike Buiulders has been offering them.

But if two motorcycle companies copy a car company who owns the idea?

Roland and PM have been offering these wheels for going on four years now. Roland’s air cleaner came out long before these guys copied it. If you’ve seen the RSD piece, it’s beautiful. I’ve seen the GTO and it’s a pile of shit and not only that, but a direct copy. If you like supporting copy cats buy the GTO piece.

I like the GTO air cleaner and wheel better myself.

Sounds like PM and Sands are bummed they did not come out with a slick looking knock off style hub,
