Announcing the first annual Tom Zimberoff’s Art Of The Chopper Photography Exhibition during the Sturgis Rally. As you all know Tom is the man and the lens behind the 2 best-selling hard cover books Art Of The Chopper # 1 and # 2, each featuring about 30 custom choppers from the high priests of custom building. During his 2 tours around the US Tom Zimberoff did more than shoot the bikes. He also photographed each builder in his shop, capturing in black and white the different personalities responsible for each style of bike featured in his books. Tom will exhibit his photographic journey from August 1st to 10th, from 10am to 6 pm at “The Monkey Rock”, 13010 SD Highway 34, Sturgis SD 57785
I’ve yet to make it to Sturgis, but hear Johnny Dare talk about it all the time. Want to go! I’ll try to check out the book.
Two great posts on Tom this week Cyril – thanks! His work is some of the best out there and he has really done an amazing job with bike imaging art shows over last year – can’t make this one but Florida is on the calendar -;0)
Cheers,
John
I think I would much rather see women in high heels than men on choppers!!!!

Stilettos rule! Choppers and Stilettos go together like strawberries and champagne. I love me some of both.
i saw the Art of the Chopper in Little Rock at the CLinton Library, took some photos for an article, and have lots of close ups. will post a blog about it today with pics and link over to here for you.
I don’t like the title of this article, sorry… i am extremely capable of wearing very high heels WHILE riding a chopper. I do so on a regular basis on my sofftail.

Amy. Evidently you didn’t understand the title! I do…
i put the wrong website addy in like a dumb ass, ya’ll. this is the right one.
I also forgot to say that i bought the Art of the Chopper book, and its well worth taking a look at… gorgeous photography, and they also give out free posters of Indian Larry that are absolutely awesome when you go to the exhibit. 🙂
luv n respect….
amy again
i got it, and its cute… unfortunately, it reminds me of a quote i read once that edward winterhalder made, that says “some people wear motorcycles like a woman wears a purse.” that one really WAS offensive to me… i don’t think i have ever worn my purse. Cyril’s was much better, more of an entendre, sort of, so it’s funny.. sorry, i am just grouchy today i guess. I shouldn’t have fussed cuz i really do love the art of the chopper exhibit. i just realized that they don’t show your website anyways.. haha….
(hello to sasha and rogue, btw)
http://amyirenewhite.wordpress.com is me, if ya’ll wanna come over and yell at me for being bitchy. 🙂 have a good monday. ugh.
