Knock $500-$1,000 off of the MSRP and it’d be a helluva bargain. I really like the sportys but H-D needs to do a little better pricewise, especially now. Just my two cents on the matter.

    Harry,

It seems to me if $500 – $1000 will make or brake a deal on a new bike, you dont need to be buying now do you. Thats just about the dumbest sugestion I have ever heard of. A helluva bargain would be a new bike for $1200

I think both or these reply’s need rethinking. Can they build a new 2010 Sporty for this kind on money and say they made SOME money?
HD is is our leader and we need to see how we can compete.
USA is what I keep hearing and this is a tough game at today’s standard.
Let’s not miss lead the public.

    Just being opened minded

To Sporty Buyer: To get a new bike for $1200 would be a foolish idea, unless you want a piece of crap that was built in China that wouldn’t last a year from the time you bought it. I understand that any company would need to make a profit not only for the shareholders but to fund things like Research and Development, new/improved processes on the assembly line, etc…that’s my opinion for what it’s worth.

I question if the 883 is $1000, what warrents the extra $1,000 for the 883 iron. Actual price to produce difference cant be that much.
