Saw it for the 1st time in Daytona. Featured it immediately in my Blog and your comments were quite positive. And now here it is in its final stage ready to make its debut in Sturgis as an official mass produced custom trike. To celebrate its entrance in the production world, Builder Jason Nieman from Olmax Fabrication LLC entered the SS Trike in the Production Class of the Sturgis AMD World Championship Of Bike Building (Champion Park, Lazelle Street, August 2-5) where it will compete against other manufacturers.
The racing inspired SS Trike has a composite body, a 24-inch Olmax Fabrication polished front rim wrapped in a Metzeler tire and American Racing 14-inch rear wheels. For engine you have the choice between Ultima, S&S or TP motors. For transmission, you can opt for a 6-speed or automatic transmission with a bullet-proof design lifted from automotive racing applications, whose design is sourced from a General Motors Powerglide system that is a current racing standard, Front end is from American Suspension, and to accentuate the racing look and sound the SS Trike sports a custom 2 into 1 performance pipe that connects into a chambered muffler. The dual exhaust pipe at the rear of the trike is described as producing a sound which is a cross between a muscle car and a stroking Harley. The SS Trike is designed to comfortably accommodate enthusiasts ranging in size from 5’ to 6’2” tall. Manufacturer also states than in less than 5 minutes it’s possible to switch between 2 different seat heights and that it’s a snap to change 3 different foot control locations. The SS Trike is available in all primary colors. Additional options include graphics, Wire-Plus digital speedo, air-ride suspension, a solo seat with enclosed trunk, multiple trim treatments and a black or polished engine.
