This Weekend. Bikers Life Bike Show During The Italian Bike Expo

padovashowitalyFor my large audience of European readers, just a reminder that this weekend (January 15-16-17) most of the old continent custom motorcycle industry and its fans (last year there was 69,000 paid entries) will meet at the 16th edition of the Italian Padova Bike Expo.

A show I know well for having traveled there and displayed with Arlen Ness, Jesse James, Paul Yaffe & Performance Machine.  One of the big attractions during this event is the Bike Show organized by my industry friends of the Italian Magazine “Bikers Life”.  The best 3 bikes will win 3 flight tickets to Daytona (bike shipping included) to compete at the Italian Showdown during the Daytona Bike Week in March 2010. These awards increase the rich prize value of 20,000 euros, the largest prize offered in any European bike shows You can still register (rush) in 12 different classes by going to Bikers Life Magazine

I attended this show last year, and had a blast. Venice is a very cool city, and Bikers Life made me feel very welcome. If you can make it to the show I highly recommend it. Hotels are super cheap, and the food is fantastic. Check out images from last year’s show at

Motor Bike Expo Verona, it´s also amazing, if they make only one show, like i read in a good magazine, maybe they can make a Bike week.

It used to be just one show, Padova! A split between the promotors saw the addition of a second show, Verona for the first time last year. I went to both, and I have to say, amazingly, there seems to be more than enough bikers in Italy to support both events; though I suspect, many bikers did exactly the same as me, go to both.
