A few companies in the US already offer some conversion kits for the most popular Harley-Davidson models. Because people have less money to spend on a custom built from the ground up and also may prefer to customize an existing Harley to avoid the red tape of registering a “new motorcycle assembled from parts”, many companies see a business opportunity to release such conversion kits. Especially in Europe where legislation for registering a full custom is much tougher than here. Under the name “Rick’s School” well known German wheels manufacturer Rick’s Motorcycles just released several bolt-on chassis parts and accessories to use as a full kit or as individual parts, depending of your taste and available budget.
1- A complete steel rear fender kit for both Dyna & Street Bob that you can bolt-on directly to your Harley frame. Available in many widths, from stock to shock, meaning the widest wheel size available. Can be complemented with Rick’s own sidemount taillight/license plate assembly and mini bullet style“ indicators. 2- A very clean steel tube style swingarm, allowing tire widths up to 240, 250 and even 260! For all Dyna-models like Street Bob“, Fat Bob“, Super Glide“ and Wide Glide“ 2006-up. Passenger pegs and belt guard can be retained. Primary offset is achieved with an easy-to-mount 13 mm offset pulleys. No new gearshaft is necessary. Powder-coated in factory matching color and delivered with complete mounting hardware. 3- A clean mini front fender as alternative to the stock Harley Street Bob model and offered for both 18″ and 19″ wheels 4- Brackets for Kellermann‘s Mini-Indicators. No drilling necessary. Offering a stable mounting platform and conceived for easy routing and protection of the wiring.
