Where Are They In Sturgis? Baker Drivetrain.

Big move this year for Baker Drivetrain! They go from downtown Sturgis at Lazelle Street and 5th to the same address but on the other side of the street on the Community Center Parking lot (because girls are always prettier on the other side of the street)

Bert and Lisa Baker and all their tribe will be on location on Saturday August 7th, all prepped to install their transmissions in all configurations, and all king of improvements like clutch upgrades, Plus One oil pans, Function Formed Fl Oil spouts, etc. Baker offers discounted package installations during Sturgis, but call now 877-640-2004 to make your reservation because they are always fully booked when the rally starts.

Regarding the Smoke-Down Showdown, it will happen at the Broken Spoke County Line. This is the original Sturgis drag-styled burnout competition  hosting 12 of your favorite builders going head-to-head till there’s only one man left standing. Show up Monday August 9th for the event and a chance to be one of the 8 lucky BAKER fans to go head-to-head with our special guest on Friday August 13th and a chance to win a BAKER Prize Package valued at over $1,000! Ask Baker to show you their FX shifter pattern tranny shifter cam. Built for forward, back, back, back jockey shifters, so when you hit the freeway on-ramp, you can shift from 3rd to 4th with your arm naturally trailing behind you as you blend with traffic.
They also off a shifter cam where all the gears are shifted back, back, back, back.
Want another gear? I think they make a 5-spd tranny for ’36-64 OHV.
They’ll have some to show you. Mosey on down to Lazelle & 5th.

Hey Kirk – thanks for the props! hope you pop by the booth too!

yup, we’ll have our N-1 drums on hand for 4 speeds and 6 speeds – and it sure does put neutral at the bottom – makes for no more missed shifts! great for jockey shifters and race applications!

also, that old tranny for 36-64 you speak of actually will go even higher than that (early 84) and covers most models of Panhead, Knucklehead and Shovelhead – and is actually a 6 speed – so you get the ultimate in overdrive technology – no more rattle and shake on the highway!!

and for the guys who want to stay true to form: we have a stock application 4 speed out brand new for 2010 – but with all new, dependable BAKER internals – with nostalgic looks!

so for sure stop and check us out – but i’ll warn everyone: if you want in for an install you gotta hurry! we’re already booking fast!
