Cyril Huze Blog 4th Anniversary. Looking Back And Forward.

One of the earliest promises that I made 4 years ago when I launched the Cyril Huze Blog on September 30, 2006 was to offer an online place allowing publication on a whim, when the mood strikes, when the influential people talk, when a new custom motorcycle or part is released, etc. A digital place updated by me several times a day and by you my readers through your comments.

In 2007  this Blog was already one of the first places to look for happenings of the day in our custom motorcycle industry and for your instant reactions as bikers and consumers. In 2008 it became and remains by far  The Number One Daily Source For Custom Motorcycle News in terms of true readership (source Google Analytics.) True readership means number of Human Visitors, not Server Logs erroneously counted as readers by some digital medias. Logs are created by web robots like computer scripts that traverse the web 24/7 to index sites, steal emails, send spam (80% coming from China & Russia), install malware and spyware, load advertising pop up windows and many other uses. (A LOG to an internet server is not always a  human visit. A HIT is never a human visit but simply the number of graphics/pictures/links/html’s downloaded when somebody visits a web page.)

Inspired by this Blog audience, by the speed and accuracy of its news, by the volume of your participation, almost all traditional motorcycle print medias  have now jumped online although many of them told me 4 years ago that they were skeptical of my enterprise. Despite their arrival the Cyril Huze Blog has continuously increased its readership faster than any competitor and remains by far the undisputed standard for Daily Custom Motorcycle News (Cyril Huze Blog is the leader in number and frequency of visits,  number of pageviews, time spent per visit, number of subscribers, etc) and very often the main source of news for many other print and digital reporters around the world. Cyril Huze Blog also ranks #1 for non-paid Google Search Results for keywords “Custom Motorcycle News.” (try a Google search)
Looking forward, with your help and the one of my sponsors,  I intend to continue breaking the news on as many topics as possible (thanks for your tips), to offer many exclusives on bikes and parts, just hoping that the majority of my posts will be to announce more positive industry developments than during these last 4 years. In the next 12 months I will also test a few new ideas, upload some new topics to debate with you and observe your instant reactions to find out more of your interest.
Since day one 4 years ago I am excited that my Blog is part of a social media revolution that has changed forever the way information is transmitted and debated, giving you the bikers a new loud and powerful say on events, motorcycles and parts offered to you. A real-time communication platform like this Blog has a positive impact on the way the custom motorcycle industry evolves. It would not be possible without your input. So, to all those who have been in the past manufacturers, vendors, builders providing quality information to me and to those who are simply custom motorcycle lovers reading me every day (and some several times a day!), thank you so much for an extraordinary 4-year ride. WOW WOW and WOW, man this is a cool-ass site, I was wondering how do we go about getting to put an add on your site or say something about our new product that’s gonna help save a lot of biker’s lives? This site is THE BOMB! You’ve done what I think all of us bloggers strive for. I’m just getting mine started perhaps you can tug my coat every once in while. I’ll be back!

I blow hot and cold about other news accumulators and sites, but this one is my only consistent and regular stop over the last 2 years. A little US centric, but most are.

Great work, Cyril, and keep it coming.
