Polish, Chrome, Gold And Powdercoat.

Because of EPA regulations, the number of platers has steadily decreased during these last years (same phenomenon in Europe where it’s now very difficult to find a chrome plater). In addition, disparity of quality can be huge between different companies, and pros and amateurs alike have experienced it.

And since finding a good plater is one of the most frequent requests I get, either chrome, gold or powdercoating, let me plug this company whose work quality was rewarded by a roster of clients including the industry’s most demanding (yes, it’s their work on Performance Machine that you see here). For example, on all parts to be chromed (almost anything can be chromed) the Sport Chrome Company utilizes a 5-layer tri-plating process including nickels and hexavalient chrome. Result is a blue/white shine with a deep lustter where a “triple plating” may have a slight yellow or brown tint. This company has also a lot of parts offered in chrome exchange program for the most popular Harley and sport bikes. So, lesss wait…Sport Chrome
