Data are in. In January 2011, our readership jumped again to a new absolute record, increasing our leadership and audience gap versus all other direct competitors in our category (digital & print magazines). For the month of January 2011, the Blog had 221,877 visits for 341,422 PageViews (source Google Analytics).
Data in our possession shows that the 2nd direct competitor website in our category has about 1/3rd of our readership. By comparison the largest American V-Twin print magazine claims about 40,000 copies. Beware of websites claiming a number of Hits as the number of Visitors. Hits are only the number of graphics, images, html’s, etc loaded when a visitor opens 1 page. (For ex. one web page containing 15 images, graphics, text links creates 15 Hits, but it’s only 1 visit).
Our traffic sources are as follows. Overall: Search Engines (62.57%). Direct traffic (19.96%), Referring Sites (17.42%). Continents. USA + Canada (75%). Europe (16%). Others, Latin America & Asia (9% ). Subscribers. As of today, we have 7142 daily subscribers receiving every morning a RSS Feed of our headlines of the day before. Sponsors get the lower cost per page view of all the V-Twin industry(banners appear on all pages). Contrary to some other websites, for evident reasons of integrity and credibility, Cyril Huze doesn’t sells any of his articles and features and is totally independent of any sponsor, advertiser or member of the industry. On request, we can provide access to all our Google Analytics data.

Well deserved as Cyril keeps it high level and on point.
My 1st comment although I read almost every day. Most print magazines turned crappy with no news, just releasing pr’s from the industry, Cyril got the good idea before all of them and being an insider and will all his connections he became immediately a much better reporter of the motorcycle scene. A few pale online imitations, but nothing as good. Great idea + talent + hard work = success. Well deserved.
Let’s no forget, in addition of the quality of the content, that Cyril’s blog is as clean as his bikes. It makes reading easy and very enjoyable. The search box is also very useful and works very well. Great journalism in a very pleasant package.
