Custom parts designer and motorcycles builder John Reed lives atop of some hills of California with wild peacocks paying daily visits to his house. Who knows why, they are not afraid of him?!? and love his bikes…One peacock in particular likes to emit a very loud high pitched cry and doesn’t stop fanning its iridescent blue-green plumage (sign that a peacock is looking for a female mate) front of John’s BITSA (A custom bike made of Bits Of This And That.) Custom motorcycle sex appeal proven again and again. Anyway, a daily scene making an unusual and beautiful shot. Maybe I should have titled this post Peacock Picture Of The Week…

Had wild peacocks in my area of the country when I was a kid. They used to come by during the summer and show off. They are one cool bird. Never had one ooh and aww over one of my bikes though.
Great neighbor……..an industry icon.
When I was younger a freind of mine lived on a farm, and his Dad raised peacocks, along with the cows, chickens, pigs, etc. Anywho, one day his Dad was working on a car in the farmyard and the main peacock rooster was way up on the top of the barn. Well, that darn bird flew down ‘an dug his long spurs into his Dad’s back! Out came the 12-guage shotgun ‘an that was the end of their peacock operation! I got lots ‘an lots of peacock feathers out of the deal though! YUk-YUK!! Wiz
