Should’ve called the book American Idiot. Wont spend my hard earned money on a liar and a cheat.
If he was unhappy should’ve seeked professional help… I did it and I dont have the kind of money he has to pay for therapy. The man is still a fake, and still blaming others for his problems.

  2. 2 R. Desner May 3rd, 2011 at 8:28 pm

Nobody expects that he says the truth. Playing humble, blaming others, and making money at the same tiime. Show business.

  3. 3 T May 3rd, 2011 at 8:29 pm

    American Outlaw?
Sonny Barger should ride over and kick his candy ass.

  4. 4 Ronnie May 3rd, 2011 at 8:30 pm

Written by a ghost writer, not by him, with for objectives to manage his image and sell as many books as possible.

  5. 5 Shifter May 3rd, 2011 at 8:34 pm

Will read it to see if he fails or succeed at looking good again, whatever the truth of his statements…

  6. 6 Rush May 3rd, 2011 at 8:36 pm

Smart as using his mistakes to make more money. You must respect him for this special ability.

  7. 7 Eric Maurer May 3rd, 2011 at 8:40 pm

it is going to make him look great… why wouldn’t it. If I had a book written about me, it would make me taller, thinner, have more hair, a bigger penis, a much bigger bank account and it would end with what a stud I am. All at 20 bucks a shot! DUH!

I will buy it, for the same exact reason I watch Sons of Anarchy, American Chopper, etc. Entertainment!

    Pay Up Suckers!

    “make his world smaller.”

yeah a lot less porn starts in Austin

I think Jesse is a good fabricator and all but I don’t need to hear a life story of someone in their early forties. It’s just more mass market crap being forced on the sheeple that will buy into it. I consider it more marketing genius from the business people behind him. What do I know, one of the number one selling recording artists is Eminem. Who buys this crap? Maybe Jesse can join Donald Trump in the race for the white house, makes sense to me and they already have worked together before.

    JESSE WHO?

  13. 13 Doc Robinson May 4th, 2011 at 7:22 am

Like him or loathe him, JJ has fans all around the world and has done great things for chopper popularity and in encouraging kids that it is cool to get your hands dirty and make things rather than aim for a parasitic job in government or insurance or such like. Personally, I like him and respect the cool things he has done, many of them very gutsy.

  14. 14 Larry R May 4th, 2011 at 8:34 am

He did it! Love/hate, they are close to being the same but one is constructive, and the other destructive. I see nothing to get upset about. Jesse is Jesse and he is okay by me.

  15. 15 Kirk Perry May 4th, 2011 at 9:05 am

    Book smook.
Building two-wheel monsters is what it’s all about. Tear the world a new rear end.

I have more respect for Kevin “Teach” Baas. Hay Cyrl – that would make a great interview.

  17. 17 BadMonkeyMW May 4th, 2011 at 10:45 am

Haters are gonna hate. If you want to read the book, buy a copy. Otherwise, save your little girl whining for your next sorority meeting.

  18. 18 Boss Hawg May 4th, 2011 at 11:19 am

    Jesse is all man.

He made mistakes and quite often. However, he is not one to hide them even if he could. But, for you naysayers, please remember that Jesse he has done a hell of a lot of good, too, especially for the custom motorcycle industry and now maybe with his Cisco Burgers that will more than likely franchise. And, dare I say, not a one of us here can bang out metal like he does.

Stop being jealous and envious because most of you don’t have the talent to connect with and roll in the hay with some of the beauties he has. Much less hold a candle to his accomplishments and now the book. Like it or leave it alone…buy the book and enjoy…I am.

  19. 19 pabstbluerigid May 4th, 2011 at 11:22 am

    @ badMonkeyMW….thank you.

the haters will always hate, and harbor intense jealousy. the man (jj) put our industry in the spotlight w/o the staged drama & child-like atmosphere of OCC. thank you jj.

he was/is a real “builder & fabricator” as opposed to the COUNTLESS ASSEMBLERS (many of yous) who are stil barely in business…and who WISH they had 15 seconds of the fame Jesse achieved.

he is incredibly intelligent, a marketing master, great with his hands.

yeah, his social track record sucks, his children suffer, how many wives? infidelity? can he be trusted? that’s between him & her(s). ok? who here is a dam saint. what he did yesterday is done. over. Jesse, what will you do tomorrow?

i “hit” this blog periodically and today i am home/off work and was looking through some industry stuff (thanks Cyril!) and caught this article.

so many “punks” here, apparently with sooo much time on their hands as well. the jealousy towards those who are doing “something” in this questionable economic environment is unreal. (Jesse, HD’s efforts, etc…remember, WE are an industry so “their success = our success!”

jesse is like a “cat” (no pun inteneded) and always lands on his feet…and i wish him the best of luck doing some stuff with “Bacon” & J. Decker! three of the industries MOST TALENTED!

take note, builders of long & stretched flashy paint barely rideable “customs” that cost 25K plus, lol…affordable bikes, ususally built with an oem hd as a platform (preferably prevo, aka “pre-evo”) by many of todays emerging youth, they are the future…

    Thank you…he deserves it.

  22. 22 J May 4th, 2011 at 2:26 pm

    LOL @ Boss-

A real man takes care of his family-

A coward sits and wonders what happened……

But the world is full of dupes who buy his story, or believe that he has the capacity to even write his own book.

Pay up, sucker- no lube needed.

  23. 23 badams May 4th, 2011 at 4:24 pm

@ pabstbluerigid—-thanks for that, you saved me the energy.

Jesse’s persona is a media vessel. Entertaining, inspiring, and sometimes motivating. I dont know him personally, cant judge him. He could be super cool or King of the Hood Rats.

So what if he got rich off TV and t-Shirts, every demographic has a Justin Beiber.

  24. 24 Toby May 4th, 2011 at 5:40 pm

    I love that book cover.

  25. 25 Jeff May 4th, 2011 at 6:09 pm

Who cares, the difference between him and his alleged family member Jesse Woodson James is that JWJ used a gun to rob people

  26. 26 CINDY May 4th, 2011 at 6:23 pm

well said manhattan choppers, been a fan for years, dont judge just love, I wish him, his family and all in his circle the best, including the ex-employees of wcc, lived in Long Beach all my life, they are all missed.

  27. 27 Manhattan Choppers May 4th, 2011 at 11:03 pm

Thanks Cindy, yeah I miss strong beach also…

  29. 29 chicagojohn May 5th, 2011 at 9:23 am

    Right on Boss Hawg.

  30. 30 debbyracer45 May 5th, 2011 at 9:56 am

Tough crowd here. My thought is Jesse gave more positive than not….. towards the motorcycle industry. And I know ALL of you negative responding people are all pure as hell. So by all means what Jesse did was ghee the worst thing a celebrity has ever done. Live and let live. I hope he makes a trillion bucks on his book…. Got to give him credit for never giving up! People are not perfect. And who are you to judge… My two cents, back off and let the talented Motorcycle & Hotrod builder build.

  31. 31 Hugh G May 5th, 2011 at 9:04 pm

I can’t wait for his new cologne to come out. Infidelity.

  32. 32 jatinder pal May 5th, 2011 at 11:27 pm

Jesse is good fabricator but am not book person.
Sorry Jesse,i would buy parts anyday.

  33. 33 David May 5th, 2011 at 11:42 pm

Jeff….I think The orginal JWJ robbed trains and banks not people….and I wonder wht the railroad owners were called “Robber Barons”.??????

  34. 34 Rider2 May 6th, 2011 at 12:57 am

Jesse is a good bike and car builder… No doubt but this is it, really.
The rest of his “Hollywood” career is questionable at best. This is what happens when you mix “bikers” and Hollywood stars. Never a good mix. Can’t be judging the guys when most of us don’t even know him personally. TMZ and the rest of the media already put a big dent in his stardom.
Good luck with the book Jesse.

  35. 35 live2rideaglide May 6th, 2011 at 3:47 pm

Well said , Boss Hawg. The higher you jump the farther you fall. Do I agree with everything the man has ever built , said or done? No way. But I’m gonna slice a brother some slack , till I go higher and fall less.
Most citizens thought a chopper was something you made salad with until West Coast Choppers showed em and for better or worse we have JJ to thank for that . If you hate him , then hate him but give him his do. In my mind everyman has a right to try again and every brother needs a little love from his peers , now and then. For years custom builders labored in relative obscurity , except for the enlightened minority . Chopper Mania brought custom motorcycle fabrication as a art form to the masses and many owe there prosperity to that revelation. Has he changed , will he screw up again. I do not know nor am I fit to judge.
Us bikers got enough enemies and haters out there , let’s support our own when they are down.

  36. 36 nicker May 6th, 2011 at 10:37 pm

Would be far more interesting would be to see a book his metal working skills.
But then there’s a whole other level for that sort of thing to be seen at the Detroit Autorama.

eg. Riddler contenders like Moal Coachbuilders in Oakland CA:

I bought the book on Sat. and finished reading it yesterday. I truly enjoyed reading it and suggest it to anyone on here. I’m far from a JJ superfan, and couldn’t care any less about how tabloids sum up his actions, but it was cool to hear about an icon on our industry and his day to day struggle in the early years of buisness.

  39. 39 kamakazi May 9th, 2011 at 9:11 am

All you people leaving all the BS about Him have NO CLUE. F$%^& internet bikers…..

  40. 40 TPJ Customs May 9th, 2011 at 4:14 pm

Everyone on here that hates or likes, Not one person on here that posted something about this glorified welder knows a damn thing about this guy. You see what reality TV shows you and what some college student with a camera lets you see and read. You want the true story meet the guy work for the guy and sit down and talk with the guy. Number one he doesnt give a Sh*t about anyone but himself and his family in the end does anything else matter. You people suck this country is full of judgment buy the book dont buy the book, he still has accomplished more in his life then most people will. I thank him for what he has taught me in the world of fabrication.
