It was one of the major events at last weekend Quail Gathering in Carmel, CA. The unveiling by So-Cal of the Miler prototype, a new limited-edition Custom Triumph Bonneville. The idea of building the Miler comes from Richard Warner, owner of a start-up shop called Streetmaster specializing in Bonnevilles who met 12 months ago with So-Cal Principals Jimmy Shine and Pete Chapouris to submit the idea. It just happened that So-Cal, well known for its expertise in fast hot-rods, was very interested in entering the motorcycle market…
Strretmaster designed the overall stance of the Miler, produced wooden bucks for body fabrication, provided the Triumph engine (865 cc punping 78 hp after cylinder porting, with lightened flywheel and remapped ignition system), and gave execution and finish touches of the prototype to So-Cal with all aluminum tin formed by Don Baumuk at Fat Katz. Starting September 2011, S0-Cal intends to produce only 20 Milers wilth the first 10 offered to existing So-Cal car customers. Price to be announced.
New Bonneville & Thruxton models are big right now. Custom builders should find interest in customizing them.
Not exactly as small and light as the original T120R scooter, but the look is perfect.
Just add a little Bean-oil………… 🙂
Now were did i put that Trackmaster frame……….???
