Custom Chrome Sturgis Sweepstakes. Get Lucky, F*cker.

When I introduced you to the Custom Chrome Lucky F*cker custom body kit (custom gas tank, tank adapter kit, solo seat pan, rigid style rear fender and fender struts) for stock Harley-Davidson, you loved it. Me too, because it is, as far as I know, the simplest, easiest, most affordable, fastest to install and best looking sheet metal kit I know to go easily from a run of the mill Harley Softail to a head turning factory custom. The Get Lucky F*cker kit is available right now for Harley carburated models and for Twin Cam EFI at end of year. Each part of the kit can be bought separately.

And if you are going to Sturgis, you are in luck. Custom Chrome is holding a sweepstakes during the 2011 Sturgis Event with the winner receiving a complete “Lucky F*cker” Softail Conversion kit. The “Lucky” winner will be chosen at the Custom Chrome display center at Lazelle and 3rd Streets on Friday, August 12th at 12:00 noon. There will be no purchase necessary to win and entries will be taken at the Custom Chrome center only throughout the week. The Custom Chrome display center will be open for business beginning Saturday August 6th through Saturday August 13th between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm.
Also, for the first time ever, an official Custom Chrome Authorized Dealer will be on hand at the 2011 Sturgis Event, providing 1st class bike service and installs. Deadwood, South Dakota’s own Fathead’s House of Fluids will be on site at the RevTech Authorized Service Center ready to service your motorcycle or sell and install select aftermarket parts and accessories found in the Custom Chrome display center. Custom Chrome will be previewing the latest products from RevTech, Santee, Motor Factory, Legend Air, National Cycle, Extreme Battery Chargers by Pulse Tech, Rinehart, S&S, SuperTrapp, Hawg Wired, Cycle Sounds, Cycle Visions and many more. In addition to Custom Chrome, the Lazelle and 3rd Street location will also be to home to two of Custom Chrome’s finest vendors, Rinehart Racing and Dead Center Cycles, each with their own display area for event attendees to visit. For more information, please visit Custom Chrome.

whether CCI is doing it, RSD or Todd’s Cycle – I am just glad to see people hopping their Softails again. All the “so called purist fashion bikers” say that Softails are lame….. HA, I say, HA. Softails rule, they are an amazing platform and if you want a screaming deal. check out pre 99 Softails.

I am about to doing my 3rd Softail in 3 years and I love the platform. If you want to see a sick Blackline, check out Todd’s Cycle on Facebook, he just finished a gnarly Blackline and per the posts, there may be a kit in the works.!/pages/Todds-Cycle/323285580390

Much respect for Roland, not just for the incredible line of parts he’s put out over the last five years, but for overall commitment to the biker community at large. That said, his parts have always been on the top shelf and out of reach to a lot of us. So I was real stoked when Cyril dropped the news on these new bolt-on pieces from Custom Chrome. It’s not a huge price drop from RSD’s setup, but every buck matters nowadays…

here is the straight skinny. Kirk Taylor & Rich Fulk took rolands idea for a kit & put out a competitive priced package that is cheaper than rsd”s gas tank by itself. somebody invented the wheel a long time ago, & we’ve all been refining it ever since. roland has nothing to do with the cci kit, but as a byproduct of a point of comparison he will end up getting some free press. I did hear a rumor though, that drag was discontinuing the rsd gas tank from their catalog becuase they were’nt selling ( maybe the price point was to high?) I don’t know if there is anything to that……….
