Ducati Bastardo. Twice.

No, I am not confused, but you may be just by looking at all these pictures and realizing that they are from 2 different custom Ducatis. These bikes with the overall same appearance and paint job are the work of Yuri Shif, for me Europe’s custom builder with the wildest/most elegant/most beautifully executed ideas. His motorcycle fantasies are infinite and you never know what’s coming next from this Russian/Belarus customizer.

Although Yuri’s customizing prowess has already been demonstrated on many brands and models that he always re-design with a very unique style, his deep love is for Ducatis. His first work on an Italian model was called “Duster”, an already very radical machine. Realizing that he could push Ducati re-styling much further, Yuri spent the last 12 months working on these 2 Ducatis (GT-1000 and Monster MS4 R), making sure that both would fit in the category of modern Cafe Racers.

Because of language barrier, but also because Yuri doesn’t like to talk about his contraptions, I got very few technical details to give you about these 2 new gorgeous creations. So, like me, just look at the pictures, discover and admire the re-styling and fabrication. Yuri Shift Custom. (photography copyright Eugene Bobrikov, courtesy to Cyril Huze)

On second bike – front suspension is parallelogram fork like on first ducati in 1954. And fairing already changed to very small cover for dashboard.
