This week, I learned that I have readers in Tasmania and that Tasmania has motorcycle shops and custom builders. Tasmania? Although I am well traveled on several continents, I had no precise idea of where Tasmania is located. It’s a large Australian island just over 150 miles from the mainland, and is its southernmost state. Roughly the size of West Virginia, the 26th sixth largest island in the world, Tasmania offers great scenery, good food and wine (their bubbly 2nd to France, they say…)
Well, in Tasmania there is a shop called Titan Bike & Trike telling me that they would like very much to be featured in my news website. Not only because they are proud of their creation but also as an introduction to their first trip to Sturgis where they will compete in the 9th edition of the AMD World Championship Of Bike Building (show dates are August 5 to 8.) As you can see, fabrication work started as a flat sheet of perforated steel hand beaten into shape to follow all body work and main accessories…then nickel plated for a result, well…like you never saw before. Only in Tasmania.
As the neighboring Kiwi’s would say, “Sweet as bro!”
At first glance I thought..interesting…
Then I thought about it actually being used and getting dirty..”I’ll get back with ya in a couple a weeks, gotta wash my bike!”
It gives a very unique appearance and a never seen before visual effect, which is pretty hard to do these days, since everything cool was invented by 1970.
Really nice work!
o dear looks like o c c have some fans down under……
Holey shit!
Neat-o! Lots o work in that one! peace

I’d never heard of California either – Bloody Americans don’t they study geography?
Peter Cyril is French not American but I agree having no idea where Tasmania is located is offensive.
Thank Cyril for putting Tasmania on the map because I am pretty sure that 99.99% of people in North America, Europe & Asia could not point out Tasmania on a world map..A least, he is the first to feature a Tasmanian motorcycle builder!
Cyril is the first blogger to feature this bike for sure. It is also the main feature bike and main cover bike in the latest issue of HEAVY DUTY magazine. The specs are pretty impressive and include a 140 cube Kendall Johnson motor, Barnett clutch and many other top shelf goodies. Builder Shane has long been acknowledged as one of Australia’s top builders.
Australia, A small Island off the coast of New Zealand. Tazzie, even smaller. Looking forward to seeing you fulla’s in Sturgis. Welcome to the USA.
New Zealand, The bit of real estate Australia didnt want and set a drift but like rats from a sinking ship, most of the passengers managed to make it back to mainland.
There are riders and shops all over this globe that I bet many people still dont know about……good idea to start finding them and promoting them Cyril…..When do we leave ?
Holes can be overdone.
