Collection Of 71 Immaculate Post-War MV Agusta Motorcycles To Be Sold In One Lot!

71 Bikes. One motorcycle brand. To be auctioned in one Lot. Unprecedented and foolish? We will know very soon. These machines represent the life’s work of Gary Kohs, the world’s foremost steward of MV Agusta history, the most titled, championship-ladened motorcycle brand in Italian history. An auction to be held August 16-18 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Spa in Monterey, California. You can only buy the complete lot and in doing so the winning bidder will get ownership of 71 authentic, correct and immaculate machines spanning over half a century. A museum collection in one check, building to house it not included.

The brand that carried Giacomo Agostini to his status as the most accomplished grand prix racer of all time (only recently eclipsed by fellow Italian Valentino Rossi), and the motorcycle for which Ferrari developed the F4 motor has never been more desirable. I have no idea, and could not yet get the info on what will be the reserve price, but I will report on the winning bid. Until then you may be interested in acquiring the superb auction catalog, by itself a print art piece, for sure to become a collectable.

I seriously doubt if Obama or Romney or Ron Paul or any of them would even know what an MV Agusta is or even that it’s a motorcycle brand. Sarah Palin thinks it’s a pasta dish

Saw some of them in May at the Quail in Carmel Valley. Great looking machines. A great collection for a Museaum .

Mecum Auctions Aug. 16-18, 2012 same weekend as the MidAmerica Pebble Beach Motorcycle Auction Aug 17-19, 2012. Monterey will be a nice place be to see a lot of nice vintage motorcycles and have a good time. With any luck we won’t have to listen to or talk about any bullshit political or religious views.
