Nice off-set arm to clear the tool box. We’d like to see some old iron tranz parts like kick-cover’s that look real and anything else Baker makes for knuck n’ pan.

I’m ordering a Custom Super-Glide and windscreen from NY Myke’s dealership this morning. [Criminey…. they’re giving them away. The early 2000 basic Dyna-Glide’s used to be about 17K .

But only to ride while I’m building the knuckle, you understand. Electric starters and 12 volt lighting is the work of the devil.

Kirk Perry, you sound like an Amish gone biker. Dig your scooter ethic.

I’m now a rider who thinks that Big Twins have overgrown themselves into large barges.

I test rode the FXDC and felt as insignificant as a deck chair on an ocean-liner, then returned to a modern rubber mounted 1200cc Sportster.
Not shown are the 14″ windshield, tapered mufflers, back-rest.
Forward controls and mini-apes (buckhorn) that reach back provide deep seating and control. $13,446. plus tax & lic.

My new ride is being built by the factory. Delivered around June 10th.

Imo, after comparison, there’s no ride like a 1939 – 1959 spring-post seat. Priceless framing and overall design, I feel more connected to the road on an early OHV, 74 cu. in. Big Twin, but not with 2-up.

The modern 1200 cc. twin can ride 2-up, but I’ve since cancelled the back-rest, as it would require drilling anchor-holes in the rear chrome struts.
The windshield makes a difference in the look. The price was reduced some.
Harleys bike builder feature works well. They can pull up the same image at the dealership.

A method to success, is carefully examining ALL the available options with each step along the way. If you forget to select the rims you want in “wheels”, or the “handlebars” you want, and then you move on to “performance”, you can’t go back to “wheels”.

You’ll need to cancel your current build and start over. I only had to start over about (6) times to get this SportCustom. Click the curved arrows for different views.
It’s good they have 16” donut-tires. A skinny front tire on this rubber-mounted slingshot would eventually kill you, the first time your front-wheel ever braked on gravel.
