I luuuv the top end of speed record attempts – it is the pinnacle where physics meets the human spirit, where brains meet brawn, it is the essence of what separates us from the savages.

In a world that has lost its sense of direction, it is ventures like these that remind us of who we really are, it serves to give our kind the motivation of being what we are and why we are different.

More than the final numbers on the record-sheet, here are beings on a pursuit far greater than they may ever realise, GO YOU GOOD THING..!!

I think thats great for all the people to come out her I live in Wendover NV and two weeks ago it started to rain, the BUB motorcycle event had low sppeds and last week the World of Speed was cancled, so you all may want to check it out. I just heard that the Slat flats was not going to have any more events this year but thats not confirmed. Good luck where ever you run at. a rider

Rick, No true that the salt flats are not going to have any more events. The Cook meet and the World Finals are still scheduled and the if the Cook meet is not held there is a rain date in mid-October.

Yes it has been wet, but if we get enough drying that is good for the course. The Cook Meet needs a longer course than the rest. 11 or 12 miles.

We will know tomorrow if the salt is good enough for the Cook meet.

Danny…..the Triumph will NOT be there. It has only gone 90 mph so far and they need to modify a lot of stuff. I think they are finding it is not as easy as it looks.

Denis Manning will be there with his 7 streamliner with Chris Carr driving.

Sam Wheeler will be there with his PARTS UNLIMITED/EZ HOOK liner.

    Pray for good salt

No rain and a dry track is the plan of the week.

    Go safe and FAST…..

Might surprise myself and head that direction…see ya on the salt? Possible.
