Such a treat for all of you that I have decided to replace my usual Monday morning bike feature with this great BBC documentary about the glory days of British motorcycling. From T.E. Lawrence to TT racing, from Ton Up boys to Mods and Rockers. It’s 1 hour long a(fast internet connection requred) and well worth the time to watch it. (sorry about the commercial interruptions, I have no control over them.) Thanks to John Reed.

Excellent show…..Thanks Cyril
Wonderful. Thank you making this available.
Wow, did I look like that!
I remember the leather, pins and blue jeans.
The “Mike Hailwood” boots, can’t remember who sold them. I guess we were as good as Harley Riders today, never seem to fall off even though we didn’t have all the gear on!
The rides from the Ace were tough, 60’s street lighting, 6volt candles for headlights.
Worse was back road stuff, coming home from the pub at 11 pm on crowned non lit roads.
But heh! We some his survived.
Goldie found her way home every night!
Thanks for posting this.
Nostalgia plus!
Loved this piece. The essence of an era in motorcycling in 60 minutes.
