With the slogan “Ignite Your Senses”, Polaris is about to launch The Slingshot on July 27th. The company states that “The Slingshot connects both driver and passenger to the sights, sounds, and smells of the open road. It will make you feel the rush of pavement under your seat and in your chest.” Via 2 teaser videos, I let you guess the type of machine it is. Exhilaration is promised…

Looks like something that would be fun to rent at a racetrack.
Sounds interesting.
It’s 3 wheeler – 2 up front and on in back….
Thanks Indian, see what you started? Now other brands think being a tease makes them attractive 😉
Looks wild , 2 liter engine and 130 mph should be able to blow by 1000 lbs
CVO geezer glides
Can’t believe I’m getting sucked into the hype … never saw myself in a T-Rex.. but.. this has my attention … hopefully it fits real world people, and not just midgets
sounds nice but I’ll stick with my hundred and twenty hour gizzard glide
Where does it say 130 mph and 2 liter engine? I must have missed that……

Just what I don’t want or need!
Hey Rodent. You are not a market. Just Rodent.
With the number of Can Am’s I’m starting to see on the road, I don’t see this is a bad move. And, if 1550tc is on the mark price wise, that’s half the cost of a Campagna. Not sure what a well-equipped G2 goes for…
Nope, it’s not, Arie
I see quite a few Spyders in this part of the country.
In fact one lady Spyder owner, rides with one of the local HOG chapters all the time …
If it were up to my “significant other”, I’d be riding the top-of-the line, $30,000 one, now !!!!
She rode the demo at Sturgis in 2011 & has not stop talking about it since .
So competition make for a better product, so let’s see what Polaris can come up with
(They have not done so bad, so far) !!!
I call the Spyder and now the slingshot, open air vehicles…they look like fun for some but have little to no appeal to me and I don’t care what your particular jurisdiction’s DMV legal eagles call ’em, thery are not motorcycles…just my two bits worth.
