Akrapovic, the Slovanian company that has made its mark at the highest level of the motorcycle road racing world (Moto GP, super bike, supermoto, motocross, enduro and rally raid) is focusing since a few years on producing cutting edge exhausts for Harley-Davidson models. Exhausts not made of steel like its competitors, but mixing titanium and carbon fiber technologies. To market its performance products on new markets, including the USA where the company sees its largest potential market, owner/chief design engineer and former racer Igor Akrapovic is branding his company via the release of ultra custom motorcycles whose objective is of course to get the largest possible worldwide media coverage.
It’s the second time that Akrapovic commissions Slovania based Dreammachine Motorcycles to build such a custom motorcycle. The 1st one was “Morsus” and this one named “Moon” is described by the exhaust manufacturer as “a bike designed to avoid being categorized, and as such a bike that belongs nowhere and everywhere.”
It took the builder 800 hours to fabricate this machine that one could qualify as a high tech exhaust system on wheels. No other bike components should distract you, except the 30” front carbon and aluminum front wheel. I list below those than you can’t see,
Engine: S&S Knucklehead, 1524 cc
Transmission. Jims 6-speed overdrive
Primary Drive: 2 inch open
Final Drive: chain
Exhaust. Akrapovic dual, modified.
Front Wheel: 30” one-off carbon and aluminum
Rear Wheel. 17” one-off aluminium
Front & Rear Suspension. Hydraulic (no kickstand)
Body Fabrication: Dreamachine Motorcycles
frame: Dreamachine custom made
Forks Steering levers by Dreamchine
Brakes: Composite discs, 6-piston calipers
Excellent bike…for free digital ink.
A lot of work went into this bike, not to my taste but respect to the builder. Strange that a bike built to advertise mufflers dosent show the muffler………..
The strategy is to brand the Akrapovic name without showing any specific exhaust model. You just go to their website…
Very beautiful. I would like to spend some time walking around this machine.
I doubt anyone would seriously consider it anything but an art piece that shows bagger chic taken to it’s logical conclusion. A beautiful piece of art.
Wow.
Certainly different……

WHY?
Well now we know what an HD Knuckle and a Victory Vision’s kid would look like. 😀
Not a rider but an interesting work of art for sure.
Nice and clean design but does anyone find the backend just a little too short? From my perspective I’d like to see the exhaust tip and bottom of the taillight area stretched back about another 6 to 8 inches. Another possible option would be to add custom heat outlet gills or wire mesh heat outlets over the sides of the muffler areas.
PUT A INDIAN THUNDER STROKE 111 MOTOR IN IT
Needs a cup holder
Could take a look at it at the Akropovic booth in Germany last weekend. Tomaz and Janez did an awesome job on it. The bike is perfect and with an 38° in the frame rake good to ride also! Check out the builder at http://www.dreamachine-motorcycles.com
Can you spell Joe Petrali ???
Because CAD and art are both three letters does make them synonymous.
I bet changing the rear tire is fun
An effective application to showcase its intended product?
Beautiful execution. Later Jay
i just threw up a little
Imagine how cool this would be with a better front wheel size and proportions to go with it for the rest of the bike.
Incredible bike but I agree how do you not show the exhaust? Even better how does someone sign off on that design. Like it or not these bikes are built for the purpose of displaying the MFG’S product.
Great build but big fail for the Co.
Agree with Happy
Lots of Co. build bikes for display purposes
Some you can actually ride, most, not in the least
This falls in the “nice to look at” catagory
