Have you noticed the many varieties of personal electrical vehicles suddenly hitting the street? Yes, Millenials want sustainable transportation and you can expect an exponential growth of these types of machines from cruisers to bicycles to self balancing unicycles (SBU’s) to get around your everyday city life.
This MoCycl is the smallest and lightest to date, getting a full charge in 45 minutes for 12.5 miles (20 km) of autonomy at a maximum speed of 11.5 mph (18 km/h) The construction is fully water and weather proof and the Lithium battery will take more than 3000 recharge cycles. All this for US $965 (879 Euros)
Of course, you need to belong to those who love what’s unusual and innovative. The team behind this self balancing unicycle are based in Barcelona, Spain and try to raise more money to make all city dwellers of this world surf the streets on their MoCycl. So, if you are interested and want to help, roll HERE.
A fraction of a segway at a fraction of the price…I’d like to try one.
Same with me, where can u demo one?
FedEx me one, yesterday.
Will it have an optional trailer hitch?
Didn’t ask if id’ pull a hill….. or push a headwind. Guess I’ll find out soon enough.
Thanks, Kirk! You raised the campaign total to: €3,597!
If it won’t make it up the hill from my shop…. I’m selling it on CraigsList when the next 74 c.i. model debuts.
And …. we’ve got 110V over here…. but you know that… didn’t read anything about brakes… never had any growing up. I can just jump off.
Glad to help your real effort at world-consciousness, and also to blow-minds in Hooterville. I like things I can get good at quick. 🙂
well, glad you’re liking our product and that the debate is running high. as you already seem to have found out we’ve got some perks over at indiegogo at the moment.
once you’ve received the product, do let us know what you think and share some photos or videos. post online #mocycl or get back to us on http://www.mocycl.com
enjoy the experience.
and don’t worry about the electrical standards, products shipping to the US will be sent with US standard plugs and transformers.
My only questions is “WHY” ????
Hay-doe Par 🙂 I’m easy on vehicles.
There’s the paved incline between a split level of the property, and that will be Moto-Cye’s purpose in life…. to transport me from the upper level to retrieve hand-tools I forgot in the lower kingdom and back to the job-site.
I think YT film director Ricardo & Celina Campos will pounce on this project like a cat.
A guy from England took one of these back to the suppliers.
“whats the problem?”
“It only goes to 40 up the hill to my house” he said
The salesman couldnt understand
“So whats wrong with that?
” I LIVE AT NUMBER 80 *
if this hits the film industry, tag this with a FreeFly Systems Movi or any hand held stabilizer, it will change the dynamics of film.
this I could see on movie sets, on the studio sets, airbases for moving across large expanses of hangars.
can you see a group of folks doing walk and talks and look like they are floating? how cool is that!!
Hoping for a couple of “Mocycl.com” fender stickers included, so people don’t bug.
I dunno, still I wonder, will the little motor get over-wound and pop on a gradual hill? I suppose I can traverse (back and forth) as a braking action….. might get old after the third downhill trip to retrieve the hack-saw I forgot (twice). Foot-dragging is why I gave up skateboarding. Grinding-off good rubber… gets $$.

“Hi Kirk,
Of course the moCycl One lets you ride up and down hills. The climbing angle is not perfectly known to us at it depends on the weight of the rider. The moCycl One rarely cannot do what we ask of it and we have been both on and off road with the unit. I think we even have some videos out there climbing some hills.
Here’s the spectacular part, when you go down hill, the moCycl One will break as you lean backwards and the electric engine will regenerate electricity which is subsequently stored in the battery. Just like a Toyota Prius or similar hybrid car.
You’ll find that the moCycl will be able to do most things you throw at it, so enjoy!
Thanks for your support on behalf of the entire moCycl team
Toni”

“….was chasing UPS again today as I never received their update promised for last week on the distribution details for the US. Sorry that this takes a bit of time, but I need to have a quality shipper on board before I can send your order. Your moCycl is manufactured and sitting waiting for shipment in our warehouse, I just need the clearance from UPS. as soon as I have it, I’ll let you know.
cheers,
Pär

“Great news everyone, the moCycl IndieGoGo campaign has surpassed its goal. The response through IndieGoGo has been great and we continuously see more activity.
There are still interesting perks for you available through IndieGoGo.
A few earlybird discounted moCycl One Self Balancing Unicycles are still unclaimed.
Or the “gramps” offering including free training wheels. Check them out on http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/mocycl-the-smallest-and-lightest-sbu
The MoCycl is stuck at UPS, Barcelona! Aye-yi-yi…..! 🙂
This is what I was afraid of, the “Paris” attitude.
We were sitting at a bar/restaurant, Margarita’s in Biarritz and a lady patron from Paris told us how, in Paris, it is very hard to make any progress at all on any thing. For instance, she said that it was almost impossible to get theater tickets because of a Parisian attitude, that no matter what you wanted, there would be people, in the process, that would do everything possible to keep you from getting what you want.
“The problem, she went on, is that this “obstructionist” attitude creeps-in slowly – and that now, she is becoming the same type of person, one that will do everything possible to thwart peoples desires.” 🙂
Hi Kirk,
I spoke to UPS yesterday and got a message from them that it will take quite some time to work out a smooth process. so I have decided to fall back on our previous logistics solution in order for you to get the product within a decent timeframe.
I am shipping with TNT. the difference is that they are not as smooth when managing customs. so once I have the tracking numbers, I will let you know what it is. once the parcel arrives at US customs, it’s possible that you’ll be asked to pay import duties (UPS would have managed that for me). if you’re requested to pay duties, please do and I will reimburse you the amount (as this is included in our sales price).
again, once I have the tracking number, I’ll contact you again.
kind regards,
Pär

Excellent! – We’re going to organized a MoCycl gang and terrorize the communities on (1) one wheel.
“We send with UPS, and a 95% of our deliveries are in a 5 days period.”

WHERE’S MY MOcycl? I ordered it March 9th fer cry-yi! Wake-UP! 🙂
Moral to this story:
NEVER send money to anyone up-front, unless you have the sellers car title or home deed in your possession. 🙁

Hi Kirk,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We take Michiel Tromp’s unresponsiveness very seriously and have internal processes in place to address any violation of our Terms of Use (https://www.indiegogo.com/about/terms).
I see that you claimed the Early Bird moCycl One perk frommoCycl – The Smallest and Lightest SBU campaign. Perk offers are made and managed by campaign owners, however in light of the situation, we want to make sure you have the campaign owner’s contact information to help facilitate communication:
Michiel Tromp
michiel@mocycl.com
Sure thing Kirk, I appreciate your candid words and the feedback you provide. it’s – as you already know – of incredible value to us.
you guessed right, your moCycl along with a guy Eric from new york are the two first units delivered to the US in parallel with another unit heading to Tom in South Korea – that’s why we are having a bit of teething problems outside of Europe. I was actually assuming UPS would get this sorted out much quicker as they managed to get Europe covered quite quickly, but I was wrong. this is truly the issue behind the delay in your shipping.
any film making which can be triggered on your side is super helpful for us (as we are a start-up and need all the publicity we can get). hence I’m looking forward to seeing the results.
when you wake up tomorrow morning, I really hope that I’ve sent you the tracking number from TNT. I spoke to them today and they have your unit (along with Eric and Tom’s) in their logistics centre, and I was promised the tracking details for tomorrow.
regards,
Pär

we’re excited we are shipping the first two units to the US. any tv coverage you can help us get is of course more than welcome. I don’t really know Eric in New York, but if there’s a real chance to show up on NBC, I’ll make the connection for sure.
take it easy and good night,
Pär

Thanks for the ride Cyril. 🙂
Bought four. Two to keep, and two to sell at factory retail.
They sent me training wheels for the moCycl I’m using as a “demo” hook. 🙂
Suspension Experts – Can these training wheels be re-designed to include swing-arm suspension?
I’d like the training wheels to be permanent, so include some roller-bearing hubs and perma-air tires, please. Here’s what you have to work with, I have (3) sets of training wheels.
http://www.mocycl.com/2015/01/12/need-training-wheels-self-balancing-unicycle/
Actually now with training wheels in hand… the rubber is a see-through polymer from the skateboard industry and the needle-bearings are of the sealed type. No toy.
A spring-loaded swing arm that would resist 170 lbs of weight (the load capacity of the mocycl), would allow a person to lean into a turn.
