Triumph Motorcycles America Is Airing A National Television Commercial

It’s the first Triumph national television campaign in the US since 2013. The “Voices” commercial begins in the streets of Los Angeles, Calif., and closes on an open, expansive salt flats, signifying the historical ties of the Bonneville motorcycle to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah where the bike earned its namesake. Named “Voices” the spot tries to convey that the farther you ride, the softer the everyday voices and noises in your head become, that the more miles logged, the freer you become from the daily grind. What do you think of it?

Its a nice sentiment and all . But …. unfortunately … as it is with all attempts to ‘ escape ‘ reality . The minute you get off the bike … the real world comes crashing down around your ears once again . Especially when you’re one of those obsessives [ I’m not ] that leaves their Smart Phone on 24/7 responding to each and every call/text/tweet etc .

It’d of been better [ and more accurate ] to imply riding is a momentary ‘ break ‘ from reality … than in any way shape or form escaping it . [ Zen 101 … death is the only escape from reality ]

Having said that …. good cinematography .. reasonable background music … and overall a decent effort . I’d give it … a 5.5 out of 10 . Maybe a 6 if push came to shove .

I like it a lot. It captures the sense of relief (albeit temporary) from the world in general and personal distractions. I frequently enjoy a serene perspective when I ride. It is a calming effect that helps me deal with the chaos that life brings sometimes. Oh yeah…that vertical twin exhaust sound doesn’t hurt either…

“No bikes outside a shrink’s office”, as they say. Rockin’ a Biltwell Gringo, good lid.

I can get behind the sentiment
Riding does clear your mind of the normal everyday humdrum.
Does not matter what you ride, just as long as you ride !!!
But I do like The Bonneville, America & the Rocket 3 Tour !!!!!

Geez, TJ, lighten up, you are taking this commercial way to serious.

TJ…quite the pessimistic movie critic. Sheesh.
Personally I feel very good, and for some time after I ride my motorcycle.
My only problem is I just can’t wait to get back on and ride again.
Though I’m a lifelong H-D enthusiast, I would still love to own a new Triumph Bonneville.
BTW-I like the end of video where he blasts off across the Bonneville Salt Flats.
I’ll be there with a bunch of other motorcyclists doing the same thing this coming August. 🙂

    That’s really Cool.
Motorcycling is my Zen, I get the hell away from the Bullshit that infects my conscious reality and getting on that MC flushes that Bull shit away.

See Triumph are supposed to be brining out a 1000cc or 1200cc Bonnie hope they make it a hot one aka a Monster like bike.

Different coloured pill tomorrow TJ 🙂
