Got to hand it to Victory , they do some pretty cool projects.
The bullshit stops when the green flag drops!
When is the race?
I do enjoy hearing about new fairings, entry level bikes, or loud stereos as much as the next guy. An American motorcycle company (gotta root for the home team) getting involved in racing NHRA, Isle of Man, and Pike’s Peak…imo this is a whole other level of cool.
Great example of American made, built, and raced. way cool.

Is that the Indian Scout engine?
Mike, I’m sure if was a Scout engine they would be racing a Scout. Surely they’d get just as much pub and sell just as many, probably more bikes if that were the case. Polaris owns Swiss Auto, and engine design and development company which was used to develop the Scout motor. I’m sure they are the engineers behind this effort and are responsible for any visual similarities. But from a marketing standpoint it makes no sense to use a Scout motor in a Victory racing bike. I bet the visual similarities are just that. Same company designes a new motor that looks a lot like their other motor, Just like Harley, just like BMW. Doesn’t make it the same motor.
Bob I thought the same as Mike. maybe its basic architecture is scout but… thats probably where it ends.
Some people who have been following the Indian brand prior to the Polaris purchase of Indian have a feeling that the Scout was already under development as a Victory product but was changed over to Indian. They think this was done so the bike would have better sales because of the Indian name.
If this were true though, as BobS mentioned, why would they not build this race bike as an Indian.
Good idea, bring the flag and stick it in the ground next to ” Lightning’s ” flag. 🙂
