1Hollister12Hollister2Known as the “Birthplace of the American Biker” the Hollister Freedom Rally is the largest of its kind in California and one of the top ten in the United States. The epicenter of the event is in Benito street, downtown Hollister.

Throughout the 1930s, Hollister, California hosted an annual Fourth of July Gypsy Tour Event. Gypsy tours were American Motorcyclist Association sanctioned racing events that took place all over America and were considered to be the best place for motorcyclists to converge. Interrupted by WWII, the event resumed in 1947, and after some interruptions was revived under the name Hollister Freedom Rally because held on the 4th of July weekend.     I hit this Rally probably 10 years ago and it was awesome. A Journey cover band played and we took a day trip to the SF Bridge. SoCal to NoCal… good riding.

    Hell of a deal for $75.
    But lost a lot of credibility with the “Sons-o Bundy” event……. 🙁

    Was that really necessary…..???
