Orange County Choppers and Rusty Coones Team Up For New TV Series On A&E To Premiere August 22, 2015

OCCbisThey are back on your tv screen! Orange County Choppers and Rusty Coones from “Sons Of Anarchy” team up for an all new 13 episode daytime series, “OCC American Xtreme,” premiering on A&E on August 22 at 4pm EST. “OCC American Xtreme” is being announced as a lifestyle and build series that features Paul Teutul Sr. and his  crew from Orange County Choppers and Rusty Coones, from “Sons Of Anarchy.

”Together they will create and build extreme custom themed bikes, boats and other unique one of kind machines for their clients. This original series is being produced by Orange County Choppers East Coast West Coast LLC.

Orange County Choppers (OCC) was founded in 1999 by Paul Teutul Sr and since 2002 has been the center of the hit TV reality series “American Chopper.” American Chopper debuted in September 2002. Paul Sr. has appeared on numerous TV shows including the “Celebrity Apprentice,” Jay Leno, David Letterman, “Good Morning America,” Jimmy Kimmel and countless other nationally televised talk shows. Paul Sr’s tough guy image is contradicted by his tireless involvement with various charities (HVSPCA, Make-A-Wish, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Boys and Girls Club of America).

Rusty Coones’ roots and street cred in the motorcycle community date back to 1974 when he bought his first Harley Davidson. Rusty is also a triple threat of talent with a strictly business work ethic. On the television show “Sons of Anarchy,” Rusty’s character Rane Quinn is a Redwood Original Member of SAMCRO. This 6 foot 6 inch intimidating beast is the real deal! In 2013, while shooting Season 6, “Sons of Anarchy,” Rusty performed on two major U.S. music tours: RockStar Energy Mayhem Festival Tour and the RockStar Energy Uproar Tour. Rusty Coones is the lead guitarist, songwriter and creator of ATTIKA7. Visiting over 40 cities nationwide, ATTIKA7 opened the stage with at least one crazy motorcycle riding on the stage at each show on the tours! Over the last few decades Rusty also founded Illusion Cycles and has built some exotic creations on two wheels.

The Orange County Choppers Crew will include Mikey Teutul, the youngest son of Orange County Choppers founder Paul Teutul, Sr.  and Nick Mariconi, Paul Teutul Sr.’s nephew. The OCC crew is completed by Ron Salsbury, Jason Pohl, Christian Welter, Rick Petko, Evan Favaro, Jim Quin, Mike Tampone, Ralph Estrada and Phil Nask

    To twice slay the slain,
    By dint of the Brain,
    Is but labour in vain,
    Unproductive of gain,
And so I shall bid you ‘Adieu’!

Noooooooo .. please Cyril please ! Say it aint so . Please ! Say it aint so . Alas … sorry to say … it is . Yet another round of ‘ Old Yeller ‘ albeit this time with the addition of the SoA factor and minus the presence of ” Little Yeller ” .. though no doubt the producers will figure out a way to bring Paul Jr back into the picture … if for no other reason than another round of ‘ Yelling ‘ Ugh ! SoA and OCC . Can it possibly get any worse ? Yeah … knowing Hollywood … it can ….. sigh …

At least it’s good for the motorcycle industry.
Remember back in 2002-2006 when everyone had to build a bike or buy one because OCC and the like were new and it was the “in thing”?
Then the recession hit and many forgot about riding. It’s that wave of newbies who watch biker TV and decide to live the dream for a year or two until they figure out that riding a bike messes up your hair and the bugs that hit your face hurt.
Then they forget all about bikes and go on to the next fad.
It sure was busy in my shop back then. There were tons of custom bike companies like Titan, Big Dog, Ultra, etc. All out of business.
Made for a lot of good used bikes at low prices.

I thought Randy had more pride

Getting custom motorcycles back on tv is a good thing. Rusty is the real deal, glad to see he’s getting the respect he’s earned.

Lets see what these folks put out for a product..theyve left some key background players out of the loop this time..less production cost I assume..

Custom boats? Is Paul Sr going to glue some doodads & whatnots and call it custom? Please go away

If it sends more people into my store it will be worth it. The MC industry needs a shot in the arm right now.

What “Steal Your Face” said X 10!

Everyone whines but what SYF said is very true. I hope it brings back the whirlwind that was previously in motion before TV, but really caught fire afterwards. For all the bad you guys perceive and express, the reality is that the custom motorcycle business is far better for it than it would be if the shows had not aired.

    Best,

    Later Jay

The Networks throw crap on the wall to see what sticks. They’ll get a bunch of advertising dollars while these retreads spike the ratings for a couple of weeks then they’ll be off to the next ridiculous “reality” show.

Just hit Power Off on your remote and go ride.

  21. 21 chuck Jun 24th, 2015 at 9:37 am

is Teutal going to be on Botched show also to tighten up his skin

  22. 22 Woody's Jun 24th, 2015 at 9:46 am

Probably going to be no worse than some of the similar lame car shows currently on. Maybe they’ll be making Dodge commercials shortly too 😉

  23. 23 FlaNativ Jun 24th, 2015 at 10:26 am

Yeaaaaah, I think I’ll pass on this one

Throw the resident expert, consultant, wizard, T.J. Martin into the cast and all will watch.

  26. 26 Herb Jun 24th, 2015 at 3:53 pm

    Can’t wait to watch it..
Don’t understand why everyone hates them.
Some of the coolest people on earth.

Great Idea Fuji, TJM aka TT could hide behind a computer screen where you would only see from his eyes up like Wilson behind the fence on Home Improvement. Except instead of hearing words of wisdom he would try to dazzle people with his B.S. like he does on this blog.

  28. 28 MDSPHOTO Jun 24th, 2015 at 4:30 pm

Never thought I would ever get tired of biker TV, but it has finally happened.

  29. 29 fuji Jun 24th, 2015 at 4:35 pm
