We all know Baker do top shelf products, many of which are innovative and have no equal. Now Baker has a site to match their product line. Spent a while (probably too long) browsing it today at the expense of work but came away impressed.

Former Baker website was extremely crappy. Full makeover was overdue. Why is it that engineers are very often not marketing minded? Wake up Bert Baker, marketing is digital.

Very nice website, but too much yellow/orange. Kills the product pictures.

The site is much better. I found the hidden $1,000 code 2 1/2 days ago. Site wouldn’t take the code. Figured someone else found it. Called and they said the contest was over. Still no announcement on the home page as promised. Bad form. Really, bad form.

UPDATE:  This afternoon I received an email from BAKER Drivetrain acknowledging a systems error, and that I was indeed the Hidden Prize winner.  BAKER Drivetrain even added an extra $250 to the thousand dollar prize for the snafu.  I am thrilled and grateful to the folks at BAKER for following through. They demonstrated a clear commitment to fairness and integrity.  For those of you wondering where the hidden code was located, it was among the instructional installation PDFs (since deleted).  And if you didn’t already know, manufacturers really do read Cyril’s site. Shopping tonight!
