Haters are going to hate and the others are going to love some of the tricks used by Taber Nash on this quite unusual chop. Since its creation in 2003, Nash Motorcycle Company has always produced ground up custom choppers, bobbers and hot rod bikes mixing the old with the new. And this chopper dressed as a racer is faithful to Taber’s philosophy of building “bold” bikes not letting anyone indifferent…
Inspired by an old race car from the 20’s that had OK on it and named “OK or KO” (depending of which side you are looking at it), this project got started when a customer dumped a bunch of parts on Taber Nash and told him “ I want a long and low Chop with a true one-off appearance.” Problem partly solved when Taber realized that a pair of 15” wheels wrapped in race tires reached this assigned objective of visual uniqueness. But love it or not, “OK/KO” is much more than this.
After re-building a 1978 Shovelhead engine and 4-speed tranny, Taber modified the rigid frame left by his client into a new platform with a much lower stance, On it, he attached a Springer front end sourced at fellow builder Led Sled, but on which he made some “Nash” modifications. An old Harley tank was the base for the new one whose front part is now for gas and lower part for oil . And thanks to bold painted lettering, there is no way the rider can confuse one for the other…Add a custom fabricated mini rear fender and seat base for a more racer look.
Of course this Chop is kick only with an interesting hand clutch/hand shift setup. This new project is also a pretext for Taber to integrate and advertise his most popular proprietary parts like the bars and leather seat. Paint by Tom Kelly. Nash Motorcycle Company.

Weird how people who have a different opinion are “haters” now for some reason. Seems kind of thin skinned.
I have to agree with JohnnySpeed. The man has talent but his ideas seem to be different simply for the sake of being different. When you have to lead in with the haters care that indicates to me that a number of people do not care for his awkard designs.
Not a fan of the fat front tire, but that split fuel and oil tank are pretty freakin cool.

Mr. Nash, if you’re reading — I admire your work and this bike. It’s like a woman – has a personality and fun to ride. Great use of tire. I love the stance. The sheet metal work is fantastic. Love the suicide shift. It has that 1970’s stock car look. So cool!
