Tonight January 20th in New-York City, from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm, Victory Motorcycles will unveil a brand new 2012 model.
Although this private event is reserved to the Victory staff, motorcycle media and select VIP’s, you will be able to see it in images with specifications here in my Blog at no later than 8 pm EST.
Victory states that “this new model is intended to position the company for the 1st time in a new category of style and performance.” Of course, I know what is all about and can’t wait to read your reactions.
Wherever you are, this unveiling is a full day before it is shown for the 1st time to the general public on Friday 21st at the New York IMS (International Motorcycle Show). Victory Motorcycles will also unveil a custom version of this new model created by Roland Sands. So, be back on my Blog tonight at 8 pm Eastern time. I will upload all the pictures and tech sheet of this new model.
cant be a chopper with sands in the mix.
My money is on a sportbike…
Cyril. Tell us now!
Look again at the cover on the bike. Looks like ape hangers under it.
Hope it’s not a chopper. would be a big mistake. It’s not a bobber. High bars.
Looks very low at the seat. Hmmmm.
Maybe it’s the car in the background! Ha.
It’s possible that the picture above is intended to mislead. Having a seat that low with bars that high with a 50-state bike? I say, doubtful. But, hey… I’ve been wrong once before! 😀 Can’t wait to see it!
I hope they did some more work on the drive train while going thru the looks dept.
Have you seen Rolands Mission 200 bike he built using a Victory the thing is awsome.
If we are lucky they may have done the Buell thing RIGHT and not given us a “sport bike” that sucks.
Here is a link to the Mission 200 bike http://rolandsandsdesign.com/wp/2010/11/06/mission-200/
Bobber
It can’t be a Bobber with high bars.
Hey I hope you’re right Steve-O!
c’mon guys, haven’t ya ever seen false bodywork or propped up tarps on a mystery car before? The bars aren’t gonna be that high 🙂
(and there won’t be any skulls or Curious Georges, either 😉 )
Would love to see a new American sportbike…
It’s the Core concept bike
some of a cross bones or a younger guys bike…..cant see another geeezer glide from them
Looks like a bagger to me (really wide at the rear) set very low (air ride?) with a moderately wide tire (likely a 200) and some mini-apes.
Probably, and hopefully, some minimal bodywork without the spaceship look and tacky fenders so many are trying lately.
Let’s hope for something tasteful and interesting… I also think it is cool that Cyril’s blog is taken so seriously (congratulations Cyril).
Should be interesting.
No surprise that Victory takes Cyril’s Blog very seriously. All readers panting until 8 pm. Good surprise or disappointment? The risk of a teaser campaign is to not meet expectations. Let’s see…
At 8 pm Harley is watching…
Great move for Polaris to have Roland and Ness working with them……….their like a rat and just keep nibbling away at the big piece of HD cheese……….sport bikes like Roland has built, might too small a niche market…..has to be some bike with an agressive edge/look to it……probably not a paint & chrome bling bike
I think the truck in the background gives you the hint that it’s gonna be “old school”
Something in the sport-cruiser class to go up against such bikes as the V-Rod or Diavel would be cool.
Hey Bud, Victory already has a sport cruiser that leaves the V-rod muscle so far in the dust it itn’t even fair! It’s call the the Hammer S. I’m going with a Bobber-styled bike, which you CAN do with Apehangers, as so many have done and still do today.
Spaz, I do believe this topic has been discussed several times on the web. Please see the following and read the article, so your statement above is rather funny.

And I am sure with a few more minutes someone could find even more articles on the same subject with the same outcome.
I am always excited to see any new bike from any manufacturer.
I would recommend not to get too excited. OEM manufacturers always get inspiration from what they see done by custom builders during the last 5 years. So, it may be only what we already saw over and over, just re-manufactured to be street legal.
HDMOCO announces NEW MODEL today (to dealers) and Friday to the world @ NYC IMS show as well…however video & specs sure to be out there VERY SOON…if not already.
So of a Bitch, it’s a hook up with Eric Buell. He took his “Goods” from HD and Pedaled them elseware. What a smart move..He does’nt have the kind of Money to make the Buell’s Live ! What a clever move..and to get Roland Sands to help “Pretty” them up and Install some Youth into the mix……………..Hmmm! I would never have thought of this without all the Comments above…….
It’s a trike. Not! 4 hours to go…
That’s what I said when Cyril, first wrote the Blog. That’s what I wrote, but actuallyl I said it was a Bike with a side Car. I think it is a “Polar Buell” !
Interested to see what it is. Hopefully simple and tasteful were part of the specs.lol I like the drivetrain, just waiting for the right bike to be wrapped around it. The Roland Sands sportbike-hybrid idea is an interesting possibility that i hadn’t considered. But it seems kind of unlikely given the size of the market for something like that and the price point necessary to sell it to that market. But it would still be sweet and I can still hope. I’d say the whole neo-bobber thing is the most likely candidate. People seem to play pretty fast and loose with the term bobber so it doesn’t have much meaning anymore and everyone seems to have their own definition but I’m sure that’s what they’ll call it.
Hey. 2 hours and 50 minutes…
Way to go Cyril …. this cliff hanger rates right up there with the “Who Shot JR” question! You Da Man !
Over & Out,
Jeff
Just waiting, I pee in my pants…45 minutes!
C’mon Cyril. publish now. I have a date at 8 pm.
meh.
Its not our fault… Build this up and they can’t even go online…No explanation..Not really a good start is it!!!!
I can’t beleive I wanted to see this thing bad enough to click a refresh button on the Vic V.I.P site for 30 minutes. Guess I’ll see it tommorow! Oh well,,,fool me once,,lol
It was great to see that Victory chose Natalie Jackson to host he unveiling. A true rider!
