Comedian Mike DeStefano was still on the rise as a comedian when he died of a heart attack at 44 in March 2011. He wasn’t always the funniest, but there was something direct and heartfelt about him and you could feel the weight of his personal life experiences . At the Comedy Arts Festival in 2007 in Aspen, Colorado, he told one of his most searingly beautiful stories. The audience wept… (thank you Mike Greenwald)

What a touching story. Thank you CH for posting this video.
Worth the pain of watching. RIP. Long May You Ride.
Beautiful, moving story. RIP Stephan and Franny. Thank you , Cyril.
so your at a comedy arts festival and the comedian gets up and tells a depressing tear jerk story. talk about a buzz kill.
what a downer that would be. if i wanted to be depressed i’d take some reds with my whiskey.
and we are suppose to be interested in this because he used a harley in the story. call me cold hearted but if i had been there i would have walked out or booed him off the stage.
if he had issues he should have talked to Dr. Drew.
Thank you Cyril very sad story on addiction. Thank you Taliban for the continuing harvests of Opium and ruining the lives of countless people in this world.
I have been in recovery for 29 and 1/2 years and that story is one of the most beautiful stories of addiction and recovery I have ever heard. As usual, thank you Cyril.
Bigitch. Shame on you for what you wrote. Go to itch yourself.
Its been said many times: ” if ihave to explain it …you wouldn’t understand “Thanks Cyril. It’d puts everything in prospective ….
Everyone should watch this. Everyday is a gift.
whats the matter BIGITCH , too much reality for ya ?
Why even bother writing that garbage ,are you that bored with lilfe ?
What love and motorcycles are all about.
That was a very worthwhile 11 minutes
Tnx Cyril
hk
remember those commericals where the question would be asked
are you a doctor?
and the guy would say no… but i stayed at a holiday inn
same thing
my girl was sick, but we rode a harley…
if he had never mentioned harley this would have never been seen on this blog!
What a love story. Thanks for sharing Cyril. Glad to see most of the guys who posted here are cool enough to appreciate the moment and understand the pain in Mike’s life. Of course there will always be a tough guy like bigitch who wants to kick a guy when he’s down. Fahk faces like him usually don’t own a set of grapes big enough to deal with Mike’s experience. RIP Mike..
Bigitch. What you say in your 2 comments about this video/story is quite dumb. Because it involves a motorcycle is the reason why Cyril published it, but also because it’s a beautiful love story. You must not have lived any for not understanding the message.Sad for you.
Great story. Truly an inspiring story to hear two people fight through their demons to get well and if their first Harley ride together was the swan song, then it’s a beautiful way to go.
