Cool! Hits the target audience squarely between the eyes IMHO. Made me want to do the PCH yet again.

Ia this a GoPro camera shot sizzle reel shot on a Saturday afternoon at Neptunes Net then up PCH to Oxnard, mixed in with a couple canyon runs? Whats with the Foo Fighter-esque backround music? All this adds up to and inflammatory brand expereince.

Harley Marketers and Agency of Record ——-

WHY are you not stoking the “enthusiasts” and “non-enthusiasts” with commercials that showcase your badass racing livery, involvement cultural movements and the countless customs influenced all adding up to maintaining the core product and brand identity????

Even a mess of a company and agency of record was still able to produce a solid Corvette commercial of how badass they are with the “AMERICA STILL BUILDS ROCKETS”. link is here:

In all, Marketing Managers and AOR, STOP trying so hard, its contrived and you’re blowing it. Get on a bike, get in a tent and get the taste of riding again……if you ever have. And if you have, prove it with your punch. Get out of your focus groups and spread sheets that show demographics, it looks obvious you don’t know what you are doing.

YOUR SELLING AN AMERICAN ICON, NOT BEER, ISLAND VACATIONS OR PROSTATE MEDICATION. One could easily slap another brand on this reel and sell their message.

Stoke the fire Harley, dont put it out. Find an agency who understands powersports and empower your marketing team to do what the audience wants. Cause most of what you’re marketing is weak.

GM did a Corvette example that is a perfect example of how they are with the “AMERICA STILL BUILDS ROCKETS”.

Harley has the same history with racing livery, cultural influence, etc. Yet they continue to blow it with lame sizzle reels and watered down music.

Put passion back in the brand HD, the consumer is waiting.

For me if i was going to be a first time buyer, i don’t think this would make me run down to the shop and buy one. I have been riding fro 35 yrs. and the new riders i have meet and have riden with also don’t think this ad would of made them run down and buy a harley. There is no excitement in this ad.

Where’s the fun in that ad?

I think this is very well done. I’m sure Harley has several target markets, and Doc has it right. This hits the targeted audience squarely between the eyes. It may not be for some who have been with the MoCo for years and years. But in my opinion, it’s perfect for the younger guys and gals who have experience riding bikes other than Harleys. JMHO

Right on bad am. I’m on one road now, hwy5 at the grapevine on my way back to SanDiego from the rally at the capitol fighting 20 years of the helmet law. This road is dark, cold, boring, and saddest of all, lonely. Hopefully the freedom is at the end of this road though and then it’s all worth it! Lets talk about freedom and the American dream that those who ride this motorcycle symbolize…..mostly the clubs who are the ones who show up…guess I’m in trouble now. Anyway my fingers are froze and I gotta ride…..this road….
