Exclusive. 4-Way Bike Build-Off Between Jesse James, Paul Jr, Paul Sr And Garage Gas Monkey Shop On Discovery Channel.

Fans of TV build-off series can celebrate. On December 11, 2012 in a 2-hour special on the Discovery Channel Jesse James, Paul Jr, Paul Sr and the 2 guys of Gas Monkey Garage (Richard Rawlings & Aaron Kaufman currently starring in “Fast N’ Loud” on the same channel) will compete with each other in a 4-way bike build-off.

Work just got started and each party has a crazy 5-week real time work schedule. Since I am not going to introduce you to Jesse, Paul Jr or Paul Sr, just a few words about Richard & Aaron. They work together at Gas Monkey Garage, a world-renowned hot rod shop in Dallas, Texas. Both are self-taught mechanics, fabricators and all around hot rodders. In their Fast N’ Loud TV show, they search for forgotten and derelict classic cars to buy and restore them at their shop. Will be very interesting to watch builders with very different personalities compete in this first 4-way build-off. To follow with more details…

Paul Sr and jessie built the same looking bike. They both look like they copied a croth rocket but made it with metal. I’m so tired of Jesse saying he builds everything himself he didn’t build the engine and just like last time a bunch of guys had to help him finish. I give gas monkey credit they built a bike they could sale easy. Paul junior will win this one because he isn’t a a–hole and brags about himself everytime he is on camera and because he actually has some design skills.

great cry baby Jessie where he make the same dam bid and then tries to fool people into thinking that he did all the work when in fact sent stuff out to be made just like all the others. The only thing he made was the frame and i think the fender…..

My theory is Jessie’s going to win!…this is a big promotion for a show for him…its just about time the public has forgotten his behavior with the Hollywood princess. This would give him the push he needs. OCC’s time on air is over, so its a way to say goobye. The Texans are a hot commodity and this is a way to allow more people to have access to them for future viewing.

I hope Jessie doesn’t rip out any gears..what a crap design…That’s where Jr has him beat..(designing.) Jr needs bigger tanks and but Jessie’s knows his metal. New found respect for Monkey boys..sad to see that bike chopped up though. Still don’t know what influence Sr had except conducting a vote on getting the bike anodised.

Best one is Jr Designs again. What a work of art that is functional. I could drive that baby to work without a problem. True craftsman Jr! 2nd is OCC. Reason why you aren’t first is your designer still doesn’t design right. He’s come a long way. Try driving that 45 minutes to work, you’d have bar-b-que thighs. Pipes are right there. The front fork isn’t right either. Load is front to back instead of up and down. Lastly you have a load spring for the rear and it’s just about fully compressed because it isn’t the right one. Sloppy guys and that’s a shame. Lot better. BTW YOU weren’t the ones meeting the deadline and JR was ready on time. So let up on the little guy. 3rd is Gas Monkey. Great execution guys. Why 3rd? No front fender, rear one is too small. Not a daily driver. With choppers it would be first. Not a build off like this is. Hate to say it but Jesse is last. “Looks like a dog taking a crap.” My daughter said. She’s right. Where to begin Jesse – front fork is at too steep of an angle, looks like it’s already been in an accident and pushed backwards. Frame is hunch back. Rear end. Nice ideas just not thought out. Not impressed by your “making” things. Didn’t make the engine, tires, rims, cables, wires, magneto…etc so you’re really making more like 40% of the bike…. Now for mechanical. Why in the world did you turn the tranny upside down, then introduce new loads to the case? Sure, it may work for a while. I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t break soon. The tranny also isn’t designed to run like that. Do yourself a favor, don’t depend on that bike. It could very well leave you on the side of the road – if you’re lucky. If not, well you know what can happen with a catastrophic failure in a drive train when you need it to work.

jessica took another crap with his want-a-be tough apelike demeanor.loss his mind along his skills,he drop a hybrid crotchlike rocket/victory lookin yard decoration into the built.guess he though it was a halmark show and he thinks talking with vulgar and trying to mad dog is going to bring fear into someone just shows who is the real sissy girl

Sad truth is the “Building” of bikes has become more of the show then it’s end result. I liked the Guy’s from fast and loud as they built to me a real Bike. Jesse should have stuck to what he does best, build real bikes not toys. The build should go back to the old days, you get a deadline to build and ride your bike to a place then it’s voted on. At some point the Show took over the build.

The gas monkey bike was a restoration, a restoration I liked, but a restoration, nonetheless.

Senior’s and Jesse’s bikes looked like dirt bikes. And just like the 1st build-off between Sr. & Junior (for the car company), Senior’s girth made the bike look very small, like an adult riding a kid’s bike.

Face it: both JJ and OCC’s designs have no soul. OCC’s bikes after Junior left have gone from slap-together’s to the theatre of the absurd. Remember the horse-head bike? That’s classic Jason Poole and Senior.

This wasn’t Junior’s best work… but it was head & shoulders better than Senior’s or Jesse’s.

AND… that’s 3 straight wins for Junior over Senior.

What was that weird egg shaped piece of metal behind Jesse’s seat? Wtf? Wanted to like JJ’s but it lacked finesse. It had no proportion or visual sophistication. Frankly, while everyone here is strangely in love with Jesse–despite his phony claims of heritage from the real JJ–he hasn’t made a great bike in many years. He’s a faux tough guy, all braggadocio and bluster, talks hard and live soft for two decades. Fabricator, smhmabicator. Make a damn bike, design it, get it built. No one asked Frank Lloyd to mike his own concrete, throw his bricks. He was an architect, not a mason. Enzo Ferrari didn’t make his own push rods. Jesse sucks up to Cyril’s followers by claiming not to being a great designer, but claiming your fealty instead because ‘he builds it all by hand”. But not at all by himself, if you watched his show carefully. His staff builds, he bangs hookers and gulls you marks by calling himself a fabricator. Who cares. If he was both a great designer and fabricator, I’d listen. But his work lacks vision and imagination, so I’m not such a sucker that I’m praising an ugly bike. Period. His fake tough guy Hemingway bluster is old and tired. I was in the Army and Afghanistan with fake badasses. Lunch meat for us real men. I smell the flop sweat from a thousand miles away. Phony. And ugly bikes. This one was a real turd. Even Sr’s, not bad at all, was far better…in 9 fewer weeks. Jr? Not in love with rear fender totally, but the right angle photos of the front showed a consistent theme that was carried out with imagination and vision. A modest paint job, still, it was part of the whole unified design that had a significant overall concept that worked.

Hey Jessie. Have you ever heard your self speak? You sound like frigging Liberace. By they way, we are trying to decide if your gassed back pimp hairdo is vaseline or fifty weight. What up?

I also was really wanting to like JJ bike, but I didn’t. I didn’t love any of the bikes. I’m ready to watch new bike builders on TV.
