Rick’s Motorcycles, the custom division of “House Of Custom” is probably the most well known non-US based wheel manufacturer. From Germany, the company exports its high-end wheels worldwide with many models adopted by top American custom builders. Although he knows that the very tall front wheel market is and will remain limited, Rick is launching a gorgeous 30″ wheel design with very intricate machining details. It follows the launch of the TÜV-homologated 23’’ and 26’’ wheels offering almost the same Harley stock trail when combined with 5 to 7-degree triple trees.
Rick has built a first prototype Bagger and himself tested high speed operation (at German speed…) and reliability of his new 30″ Rod wheel before releasing the design for production. As a matter of fact he will also ride it to Harley-Davidson‘s 110th Anniversary in Rome, Italy. Additionally, Rick‘s has acquired special equipment to mount 23, 26 and 30″ big tires to the wheels without using levers, thus an easier, faster and safer way to do it. Rick’s Motorcycles.
The design is outstanding. However, it looks structurally weak because of the holes in the seven spokes.
Tom , nobody rides these bike anyways , NEVER see any on Sundays ……………….
Yawn waste of engineering and material.
That wheel should work when all your doing is pushing it out of the trailer and then back in.
Is it just me or is everyone else getting REALLY tired of the huge Wagon wheels?…. what’s next 34″…. lame.
Tomcat, the TUV have the strictest engineering stabdards in the world:It’s strong enough.
I’ve love to know what rake and trail a bike with one of these big wheels runs so the thing would actually turn over eighty MPH.The Wagon wheel trend is stupid.
These wheels are double stupid….not only do they cost $5-$6 grand, then you have to spend another $5-$6 Grand to be able to Ride the Thing on and off the Trailer!!!
Why ?
Hey, how bout a 30″ front AND rear?? ……… peace
“Why?” Cause you got to change the Rake and Trail and Pitch, Front Calipers, new Fender, Paint.+ + + +……………………….
