Wow !!!!!
One of the ONLY reasons I’m sorry I missed Sturgis this year
Damn those bikes look Hot & judging from the “man on the street” reaction on the demo rides
looks like Polaris Indian has got a real hot commodity on their hands.
So, ok, how about getting a demo truck to some of the rest of the country
(like Southwestern Ohio, Northern Ky, Southeast Indiana)
C’mon, Please ????
If I had the $$$ I’d have been signed up to be a dealer, a long time ago …..
Unreal F-KING HYPE for a company that will sell 3-5000 bikes a year ……….and with those BUTT ugly fenders i just think they will be nothing more than a small niche market manufacturer
1550tc. You are entitled not to like the Chief fender, a classic Indian design. Regarding sales, let’s talk in 1 year. I bet on 12,000, then when a new Scout is coming, doubling that number.
I am impressed with Polaris, with there deep pockets and engineering resources they retooled the sheetmetal, new lighting, new proprietary Thunder Stroke motor in 20 months??? How could not like the styling of that motor. Looks like the old side valve motory Indian had in the day. Polaris nailed the Indian legend. Now wonder what they have in store. Be cool if they came out the inline 4 motor. Triumph triple inline is doing well sales wise. But Polaris needs to come out with a Scout, entry level bike. I’ll be getting a Chief, no doubt.
I was riding back to where I was staying in Spearfish Wed early evening from Rapid City and saw all the Indians in front of this cool old barn…it’s was a fabulous backdrop….perfect lighting….it’s clear they are back on the scene….my friend Laura Klock loved riding her loaner….I sat on it as well….very comfy!!!!
Wish I could have been. Definitely as story to tell the future grand kids about =).

Coke vs Pepsi
Ford vs Chevy
Macy’s vs Gimbels
Harley vs Indian
I managed to get on one during the rally. Mabey the best looking and sounding v-twin that i have ever seen on a production bike.

BTW, each Indian sale is stolen from Harley…

They look nice price is better….but have to keep my son working and I’ve been loyal to HD for 48 yrs . So I’ll just keep baby boy working on the HD’s.
P.Cramer.
With that mentality, every Harley (or Victory for that matter) purchased is a sale stolen from Indian.
The Indian demo truck is coming to my area at the end of the month…already got my ride reserved!
