Just look in any bike shows or on the street. New Shovelhead engines are extremely popular for looks and speed. The S&S SH 103″ engine is based on the 103″ Sidewinder kit for Shovelhead engines which has been proposed by S&S since 1976! It is only offered in 1970-84 alternator style and is delivered with the S&S Super Stock ignition system. Because of high compression ratio, an S&S Super G Carburetor and dual plugged heads come as standard equipment. Warning: this S&S 103″ is ,300″ taller than a stock Harley-Davidson Shovelhead. So, it means that it will not fit in a stock Harley frame, except if you modify it. But most aftermarket frames accept it since they were conceived for taller engines. More info at S&S Cycles.

Love the Shovelhead, always been my favorite.
Pans are cool, Knucks are beautiful, can’t go wrong with an Evo either… but personally I just love the Shovel.
And after 10 years of working with the TwinCam, I still don’t like it. Long live the Shovelhead!
S&S the best. Period.
A friend of mine installed one. Very happy.
shove is my favorite… S&S quality, would be sik with a pan bottom
Want to see a really, really cool 127 cu. in shovelhead. Head on over to the Sorenson Performance site. He is building some that puts S&S to shame.
We’ve used several of their Shovel motors and they are our sole motor supplier. Always have great experiences with their motors. I’m also a distributor for their motors and sell a large number of them to retail customers as well as shops. Sorenson may be building big ass motors but what’s their life span in the real world and what’s the price tag? The key in today’s economy is to give the best bang for the buck and S&S tends to do that time and time again.
I thought Ultima was the best bang for your buck…
now this i would love to play with…
