S&S Cycle has announced that they have teamed up with Jasmine Cain, award-winning song writer and performer, to promote her 2014 tour. S&S’ Proven Performance® products are the top of mind solution for Harley-Davidson® owners who want more power, and Jasmine Cain’s powerful musical performances have been a prominent presence at the major motorcycle rallies for the last several years. Two kinds of power that blend well together!
“S&S has never sponsored a musical act before, so this is somewhat unprecedented, but the opportunity to work with an artist of Jasmine’s caliber to promote the sport of motorcycling makes this a natural.” says S&S Events Team Leader, Dean Young. “Jasmine, her band, and even her manager are riders and S&S fans as well.”
S&S became aware of Jasmine’s truck problems back in September of 2013, when she started a project on Kickstarter to finance some new wheels. The idea of contributing through Kickstarter was considered, but as a company, we thought there might be a better way to support Jasmine and her band’s efforts. That lead to a series of conversations that ultimately resulted in a sponsorship of the band to help with their 2014 tour. Quite a few new modern Triumph owners among you. So, I introduce you to the British Customs newest addition to their line of seats for Triumph Bonneville, Thruxton and Scrambler models. The Slammer Seat offers a low profile bench style and features a medical-grade gel insert for added comfort. Design strips away some of the unnecessary bulk from the factory seat by removing ½” to ¾” around the edges to expose the factory sub-frame rails. The Slammer Seat also comes in ½” shorter to expose a bit of the rear fender, giving the bike a shorter appearance when combined with the British Customs Fender Elimination Kit. PowerSports Business Magazine has once again honored S&S Cycle with a Nifty 50 award for the new T-Series T2 Long Block engines for 2007 and later Harley-Davidson® baggers. The Nifty 50 award is given to highlight the fifty best new products or services of the year. The competition is pretty stiff for this award, but the S&S T-Series T2 Long Block engines are a winner.
S&S is offering T-Series T2 engines for 2007 and later touring models without fuel or ignition systems. The specs, performance, and S&S quality are the same as the engines they already offer for 1999-2006 models. Selling engines without fuel systems, allows S&S to offer them at a smokin’ price. If you’ve been considering an S&S engine, but the price was holding you back, now’s the time to act. MSRP for S&S Long Block engines range from $5,995.85 to $6,295.00. An American made S&S factory assembled engine for around 6 grand is an outstanding value. There’s even a new low compression T124. Options are: T111 – 111 cubic inches of smooth power. T124 – 124 cubic inches of hot-rod performance. T124LC – 124 cubic inches with slightly lower compression for heavy applications. I am not a fan of glowing add-ons on a motorcycle, but for those who like to “show and glow”, this brake line kit may impress your fellow riders and could add a little bit of security to your dark day and night rides.
During clear days the brake hoses have the appearance of any standard stainless braided hoses with a clear cover to protect it from dirt and wear. Darkness coming, inserts and hoses start to glow.
The kit is a limited edition and apparently available only from Goodridge England for £31.20 (about US$50.50)

A Canadian salesman checked into a futuristic hotel in Tokyo Japan. Realizing he needed a haircut before the next day’s meeting, he called down to the desk clerk to ask if there was a barber on the premises. ‘”‘m afraid not, sir” the clerk told him apologetically, “but down the hall from your room is a vending machine that should serve your purposes.”
Skeptical but intrigued, the salesman located the machine, inserted 15.00 Yen and stuck his head into the opening, at which time the machine started to buzz and whirl. Fifteen seconds later the salesman pulled out his head and surveyed his reflection, showing the best haircut of his life.
Two feet away was another machine with a sign that read “Manicures, 20.00 Yen.” Why not? thought the salesman. He paid the money, inserted his hands into the slot and the machine started to buzz and whirl. Fifteen seconds later he pulled out his hands and they were perfectly manicured. The latest generation of Harley Touring models saw a number of improvements, one of the more significant being an upgrade to a 49mm fork tube to help stabilize the front end. What they didn’t include is an option to lower it and that’s where the folks at Progressive Suspension come in.
They’ve been creating high performance suspension for decades and it didn’t take them long to release a height adjusted solution for the new baggers. Available in a 1” or 2” drop and wound in a higher spring rate to better control bottoming and brake dive. The end result is a great stance, easier reach to the ground and an enhanced ride, all for under $120 (P/N 10-1568) Visit Progressive Suspension or call 877.690.7411 or contact your local Progressive dealer.
