It looks like a giant hairdryer from the 70’s because its creator Rico Kersten loved the idea that one powerful radial fan could lift and move the vehicle/bike. Some wings on the bottom are used for steering and two big thrust reverse brakes stop it. The Beast Hoverbike was a winner in the Allegorithmics Contest with hope to be produced (or maybe not) in the second part of this century. But first, would be fun to see this solo pilot prototype on the road/in the air. Not yet…

A group of American tourists entered a pub in Cork Ireland. One of the Americans said, in a loud voice, “I hear you Irish think you’re great drinkers. I bet $5,000 that no one here can drink 20 pints of Guinness in 30 minutes.” The pub was silent, but the American noticed one Irishman leave. No one took up the bet. Forty minutes later, the Irishman who left returned and said, “Hey Yank, is yer bet still on?”
“Sure” said the American, “20 pints in 30 minutes for a bet of $5,000 .” “Grand, ” replied the Irishman, “so pour the pints and start the clock.” It was very close but the last drop was consumed with 2 seconds to spare. “OK Yank, pay up.” said the Irishman.
“I’m happy to pay, here’s your money” said the American. “But tell me, when I first offered the wager, I saw you leave. Where did you go?’ “Well sir”, replied the Irishman, “$5,000 is a lot of money to a man like me, so before I took the bet I went to the pub across the road to see if I could do it.”
Indian Motorcycle Recalls Certain 2014-2017 Models For Potential Fuel Leak

Kevin Bean’re To Attempt A Coast To Coast Mini Bike World Record
Published by December 13th, 2016 in Editorial and Events.Going after a 50cc mini bike long distance world record? Why not. Kevin Bean’re intends to ride coast to coast from Daytona to San Diego to add his name to the Guinness World Records. Kevin will ride with friend Tim Ford (not on the same bike!) for what is expected to be a 9-day 3000-mile trip, of course using mainly back roads.
This world record attempt is also the pretext to raise money for charity, the Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation, whose purpose is to advocate for ALD newborn screening in every state. ALD is a deadly genetic disease that affects 1 in 18 000 people. It most severely affects young boys and men with loss of muscle control and progressive dementia leading to death.
Kevin Bean’re and his riding companion intend to organize fund raisers along their way to San Diego and to carry some proposed legislation to several of the state capitals they will travel through. They also have plans to have individual pledges by the mileage that they accrue. There will be a page on the Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation website for donations. The coast to coast ride will start from Daytona on March 20, the day after Daytona Bike Week ends
Retro Mod Triumph Bonneville T120. Back To Basics.
Published by December 12th, 2016 in Builders, Customs and Editorial. All custom builders dream of attracting the attention of a major motorcycle brand to be commissioned on a custom project. All benefit for both parties, the manufacturer getting a show piece to exhibit all year long on its new models display, and for the builder getting a huge boost of notoriety and credibility. But it’s not necessarily easier to work for a manufacturer than for a private client. The briefing may come with light or heavy restrictions regarding style and modifications, and of course you better off succeed with a project ordered to enhance the brand and/or model image.
Receiving a call from Triumph may be the most exciting and stressing event of your professional life when you are a young British custom motorcycle shop. And Old Empire Motorcycles got this call… After several conference calls, the team OEM had to travel to the factory HQ for the official briefing. “We give you a brand new Bonneville T120. Build a piece of eye candy to be used during all the show we attend. But it needs to ride perfectly and to be available for road reviews” And Triumph added “don’t turn it into another modern Cafe Racer!” Later, the shop found out that Triumph was just about to launch the “Street Cup”, another Street/Cafe Racer in the lineup, and of course they didn’t want any image confusion between this new model and the Bonneville T120. On the first day, God created the dog and said, “Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this I will give you a life span of twenty years.” The dog said, “That’s a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I’ll give you back the other ten?” And God said that it was good.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said, “Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I’ll give you a twenty-year life span.” The monkey said, “Monkey tricks for twenty years? That’s a pretty long time to perform. Easy to imagine bikers scratching their heads front of this contraption. Yes, it’s a custom bike powered by a single 375 cc made from a 750 cc Italian Moto Guzzi. The design from Jeff Grunlach is based on his own one-off fabricated frame and includes Norton clutch and transmission, Honda wheels, forks and brakes.
280 lbs light, Jeff tells me he can push the bike to 75 mph, and that after riding it 3000 miles he only broke the chain guard due to a weak mount… Of course No unneeded parts on this one. Raw and rusted. Raven MotoCycles.
