The State of Florida was not allowed to view the results of the tests ordered by Lane’s defense and therefore has now sent the blood work to another expert. , State Attorney Tom Brown says that the DUI case is getting closer to a trial date still to be set. Billy Lane has the option to avoid trial by plea to jail time. If the case goes to trial, and if Billy Lane would be found guilty, Florida law states that the maximum sentence is 15 years jail time. Blings Cycles Nickled Knucklehead
Published by October 22nd, 2008 in Builders, Customs and Editorial. The Knuckle engine, or “61 OHV” as the Harley-Davidson factory originally called it, is a beautiful classic choice for many of today’s customs. In its 74” version it has enough punch (45 hp) to satisfy a lot of our riding needs, especially when placed in a rigid frame. “Nickled Knuckle” is a fine example of a custom built to emphasize the beauty of the engine that Harley started to produce in 1936 to motor its motorcycles. Stumbled on this one hand-built by Bill Dodge at Blings Cycles while at Biketoberfest. Blings frame, 1941 Knuckle engine, Baker tranny, front end of a Dyna narrow Glide, Tech Cycles belt drive, both front wheel is 23″ x 3″, rear is 18″ x 5.5″, Brembo brakes and controls, Bling Glass Paxx exhaust, etc.

Think Twice Before Showing Your Motorcycle Stunts On YouTube
Published by October 21st, 2008 in Editorial. In England, a biker who posted videos of himself on YouTube performing stunts and speeding at up to 210 kph (130 mph) has been jailed for 12 weeks. Sandor Ferenci, 28, was approached by police after a motorist saw him speeding on his powerful motorcycle and noted his license number. Police found an internet uploaded video filmed by a friend of his hazardous riding. In it, wheelies, tire-smoking wheel spins and skids on his Yamaha R6 road bike as well as high-speed undertaking maneuvers. Conclusion: edit your video not to show your license plate, or pretend that the rider on film is you grandmother riding the bike she stole from you.

During the good times, up to the end of 2005, Harley-Davidson used its in-house finance unit to chase after subprime borrowers, making it too easy for some bikers to buy $20,000 motorcycles with no money down. The risky lending practice has obliged the Milwaukee Company to take a $6.3 million write-down amid rising delinquency rates and decreasing interest among buyers for its securitized loans. Softail Bobber. $19,500 VIN Included
Published by October 19th, 2008 in Builders, Customs and Editorial. To offer a custom motorcycle with a VIN number for the price of an equivalent factory bike is the challenge of many custom shops. Many entered this market segment and try hard to get your business by offering the most bang for you hard earned (and I hope preserved) dollars. This model is from South Side Kustoms, and since I cannot test-ride all bikes, I will limit this post to listing the main components. Continue reading ‘Softail Bobber. $19,500 VIN Included’

Just count 45 minutes (if you arrive no later than mid morning) and you get your secure parking place. Outside, eating and listening to music seem to have replaced shopping and customizing. Not disturbed by the heat (it’s 83 F as I write) and the crowd around him, artist David Uhl is completing a new art piece featured here. Yes, it’s the way cops were taking some people to jail, in a rolling cage attached to their Harley-Davidson motorcycles! Could not believe it, but David showed me the original black white picture that he uses as inspiration. David Uhl Studios.
