Daily Ride Custom Chopper

Although you tell me you enjoy the radical motorcycles I am featuring, you also suggest that I publish more often custom bikes built for the “average” rider. Although I don’t don’t know how to define an average biker, nor do you you mean an average quality bike, I understand that you would like to see bikes that would not cost you 2 years of salary, that a good shop or a skilled individual could build in his garage, maybe with the assistance of a couple of friends. Corbin Warbird Treatment On Harley-Davidson Dyna-Glide

After featuring Corbin’s Warbird Body Kit for the Harley venerable FXR model, it was just a matter of hours before the requests came in for a new version for the Dyna-Glide. Warbird components are designed to work together for a unified look or can be used individually to convert a stock Dyna-Glide into a very nice full custom. Together the components capture the essence of classic Warbirds like the Corsair, Mustang and Thunderbolts for an aggressive stance and smooth aerodynamic line. The Dyna-Glide Kit is comprised of a Warbird Fairing, a Chin Spoiler, a Tail Section and Custom Saddle.

Warbird Fairing takes its lines from the tank and carries them through the front of the machine. Frame mounted design installs independently of the forks and sculpts to the shape of the OEM tank. Warbird fairing stays straight regardless of the handlebar direction so it always looks tight and aggressive. Corbin fairing hides frame tubes and wiring around the triple trees giving a very clean appearance. All mounting hardware and instructions are included.

Chin Spoiler is designed to integrate the lines of the Dyna into the bottom end for a more visually streamlined look. The spoiler flows over the frame downtubes with a large duct built into the design for proper engine cooling. ABS Spoiler is ready for your painter to scuff and primw, or for a little extra can be ordered pre-painted in gloss black and ready for installation right out of the box. Mounting is simple and we include all needed hardware and detailed instructions. Continue reading ‘Corbin Warbird Treatment On Harley-Davidson Dyna-Glide’

Motorcycle Trade Show War. Alliance Between Dealer Expo And International Motorcycle Show To Offer Exhibitors Both B2B And B2C Weekend.

The Advanstar Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, a trade show, and a new Progressive International Motorcycle Show, a consumer event, will be held in parallel in Indianapolis Feb. 15-17, 2013.

During these last years, the Advanstar Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, like the Easyriders V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati (to be held 2 weeks sooner on Feb 2-3, 2013) have been severely challenged by the bad economy and also by internet, a very cheap and efficient media for the industry to instantly announce its new products to the world and to keep in permanent contact with its retailers and clients.

It’s no secret that both trade shows have faced dwindling participation from exhibitors and attendance from dealers. Rivalry between the 2 competing events culminated in 2012 with the Cincinnati V-Twin Expo being qualified by some as being only a get-together between friends of the custom motorcycle industry, and others describing the Indianapolis Dealer Expo as mainly an “agri-asian-scooter” exhibition where the US motorcycle industry is badly represented to a non-qualified audience of buyers. Both shows are challenged on their ability to generate profitable new business. “Cyril. It is with extreme heartbreak and disbelief that I let you know that our beloved son Conrad, passed away last night in a tragic incident. He was only 25 years old.

Cindy and I are struggling to cope with it right now. We are totally lost, I don’t know what we are going to do without him! Custom Harley Blackline Beauty

If you are wondering why the Harley-Davidson Blackline model is becoming a favorite for customization by both professional custom builders and individuals, the reason is twofold: 1- it’s the cheapest and most pared to the bone new Softail offered by the factory. Less parts (that you already paid) to throw away… 2- of course, its Bobber look heritage. The Blackline, even in its showroom dress, already combines visual elements of the raw, hand-hewn style embraced by the young generation. And it doesn’t take many stock parts to be removed and not too many after-market parts to add to create a beautiful and extremely rideable custom bike that you can easily insure, because still a “legal” titled Harley-Davidson. Should You Dismiss Anti-Lock Braking System When You Buy A New Motorcycle?

A new study by the Highway Loss Data Institute (HDLI), an organization doing scientific studies of insurance data representing the human and economic losses resulting from the ownership and operation of different types of vehicles and supported by auto insurers, shows that anti-lock brakes, despite their unpopularity, reduce motorcycle crashes.

The study demonstrates the benefit of ABS for bikers of every level of experience, but much more for inexperienced bikers. HDLI states that beginners riding bikes with ABS are 30 percent less likely to file an accident insurance claim within the crucial first 90 days of ridership and 19 percent less after that. Bean’re Motorcycle Nomad. The Real Meaning Of Being Free.

Bean’re is a well known character in the motorcycle industry and beyond. If you still don’t know him, don’t count among his many friends around the world, here is your opportunity to discover the man before you meet him in one of the many motorcycle events he attends all year long (just look for his signature top hat and the flashy suit he wears during biker parties)

We all talk a lot about pure freedom, but how much do we know about it, live it? If anyone in this world is free, truly free, that someone is Bean’re. Free from the 40+ hour grind, from the credit card and mortgage payments that dog most of us…Motorcycle Nomad, his just released book (in print this week and shipped beginning of August to coincide with the Sturgis Rally)), written with the help of moto journalist and books author Timothy Remus, is the non-fictive story of the life-long adventure he has chosen to pursue, without a regular job or a permanent address, riding an old chopped Road King all other the country. Money? Bean’re earns enough working as a carpenter when needed or as the paid emcee at a Sturgis roadhouse to keep gas in the tank and decent tires on his very unique purple motorcycle. Poor? Of course not. Rich of pure freedom, of so many friendships around the world and much more. Continue reading ‘Bean’re Motorcycle Nomad. The Real Meaning Of Being Free.’
