Harley-Davidson Custom Gauge Face Kits

Until now and to the best of my knowledge, to customize your gauge on a stock Harley-Davidson you had only 2 options: paint the face (I used to do this 15 years ago…) or use a cheap vinyl sticker (yuck!). A company in California offers you a new more noble option, stainless steel Gauge Face Kits but only for 2000 and up Harleys. They offer a variety of etched designs and colors and can even produce small one-off series for custom club logos, etc. Dealers can see them for the 1st time at the V-Twin Expo this Feb. 7th-9th at booth 322. Jay Allen and the Broken Spoke Saloon’s Rolling Museum of vintage bikes and cars are on tour with the 2009 Easyriders V-Twin Shows. “I’m out here with mostly my Old Skool bikes. An outpouring of sympathy from the area motorcycle community is fueling a memorial on Thursday, January 29, 2009. Lake Worth Bike Night, FL is hosting a special Jerry Graves Memorial starting at 7PM. A portion of the proceeds from fund raising efforts will be donated to Michaele Graves “Hot Rod”, son of Jerry Graves.
Jerry Graves was the owner of Graves Custom Cycles. His custom chopper designs are known throughout Palm Beach County and the country. Today Harley-Davidson Inc. announced that it will cut 1,100 jobs over two years, close some facilities and consolidate others. The company also reported its fourth-quarter profit down 58% and said it is slashing motorcycle shipments to dealers by 13% to adjust with reduced demand.
