A guy goes to a female dentist to have a tooth extracted. She pulled out a large syringe to give an anesthetic shot. “No way, no needles! I hate needles!” the man exclaimed.
So she started to hook up the nitrous oxide tank, and the man said, “I can’t do the gas thing. Just the thought of having a mask on my face suffocates me!
The dentist then asked the patient if he had any objections to taking a pill. “No,” he says, “I’m fine with pills.” So the dentist gave him two little blue pills and he swallowed them.
“What are those?” he asked. “Viagra,” she replied. “I’ll be damned,” said the patient, “I didn’t know Viagra worked as a pain killer.” “It doesn’t,” said the dentist, “But it will give you something to hold on to when I pull your tooth.”

Except picking up rolls of sushi, there is not much I can do with chopsticks (also called “hashi” or “otemoto” in Japanese) Thanks to the sticks tapering to a finely pointed end, Makoto Endo has invented a technique to use them has an utensil for painting. He is a graphic designer, illustrator now based in New York and motorcycles being his passion, they became his subjects for chopsticks painting. If you send a photo to Endo at makotoendo1234@gmail.com, I’ll paint it for you, always with black ink on a 53″X70-80″ paper or canvas. Price for his renderings range from $1500 to $2000 depending of the complexity of lines of your motorcycle. The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention appointed a federal task force made up of 15 members to recommend that all US states enact mandatory motorcycle helmet laws, regardless of age or experience. Dubbed the Community Preventive Services Task Force, the group offers recommendations to the CDC and provides reports to the U.S. Congress on matters pertaining to community preventative services and policies to improve health.
The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has long been an advocate for adult choice laws and suggests that it would be more advantageous to work to prevent motorcycle accidents in the first place than impose laws whose protective/preventative merit is questionable. According to the AMA’s “Position in Support of Voluntary Helmet Use,” the “AMA believes that adults should have the right to voluntarily decide when to wear a helmet…The AMA asserts that helmet use alone is insufficient to ensure a motorcyclist’s safety.” Continue reading ‘In 2014 A Fed Task Force Will Be Pushing Again The US Mandatory Helmet Law’

Did the car ready to maneuver see you? Lightning Strike is a motorcycle visibility/safety system created by Judd Smith, a retired engineer from Honeywell Aerospace. It is designed to make a motorcycle more visible on the road. The system uses high-intensity LED lights equal to that seen on a police motorcycle, only the system doesn’t uset use red or blue lights. The way Lightning Strike works is by simply pressing a button, just like a horn. If you feel a car driver is going to pull-out on you or turn left in front of you, hit the button and the front of the bike lights up. Let go of the button and it turns off. Watch the video demonstration. More info at 480-209-9764.

Indian Motorcycle Coming To India. Indian Motorcycle to follow Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Ducati in India in late January 2014. The new Indian Chiefs will be the 3 other choices in the high-end cruiser market for Indians with deep pockets. The first dealership should be in Dehli, followed by 2 more outlets in Mumbai and Bangalore. Polaris has already a presence in India with its ATVs and also inked an agreement with the Eicher Group to launch in 2015 a range of personal mobility vehicles.
Triumph Announces Record Annual Sales But An Operating Loss. Triumph sold 52,089 motorcycles from its fiscal year 2013, setting a new company record for annual sales. The 52,089 motorcycles sold represent a 6.4% increase on the 48,957 motorcycles sold in the previous fiscal year. At the same time, the company announced an operating loss of £95,000 (US$ 155,300), the company’s first time in the red since 2009. Much of the operating loss was caused by foreign currency exchanges and the cost of starting up manufacturing facilities in Brazil and India. In Brazil, Triumph claims a 3.4% market share of sales for motorcycles 500cc and larger in just its first year of operation.
Erik Buell Racing To Enter 2014 World Superbike Championship. Erik Buell Racing (EBR) will compete in the 2014 Superbike World Championship (WSBK) under the ‘Team Hero EBR’ banner. In contrast with MotoGP where purpose-built machines are used and continually enhanced, the WSBK will only accept motorcycles that are tuned versions of those available for sale to the public. EBR will be expected to produce 125 units of the 1190 TX before offering the bike for entry in the WSBK series. By 30 June 2014, they must produce a total of 500 bikes, with a grand total of 1,000 by the end of the year itself. This amounts to approximately three bikes built a day, a substantial demand from a small manufacturer. Not only will these figures have to be repeated in 2015, but EBR also have to sell these units. Since there are, as yet, no sales statistics on the EBR 1190 RX, it’s difficult to draw any conclusions on how EBR might fare in the process. Continue reading ‘Fast Motorcycle Industry News’

The very distinctive Boat Tail fender/seat/taillight combo rear section was produced by Harley-Davidson only in 1971 for its Super Glide and Sportster models.
Today it’s a highly sought after part and because Sportsters are trending again, several after-market vendors propose their own improved version.
This one comes from Japan and can be adapted to current Sportsters without any modification to the frame.
The fender section is unpainted fiberglass measuring 2 ft 6 5/16″ x 1 ft 1/64″ (77 x 30.5 cm) and sold with the integral round taillight and necessary hardware for installation. The seat pad section comes with the kit and can be ordered in 2 styles of leather checkering pattern. A creation by Bull Original and sold in Europe by W & W Cycles AG

The doctor said, ‘Joe, the good news is I can cure your headaches. The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition, which causes your testicles to press on your spine and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. The only way to relieve the pressure is to remove the testicles.’
Joe was shocked and depressed. He wondered if he had anything to live for.He had no choice but to go under the knife. When he left the hospital, he was without a headache for the first time in 20 years, but he felt like he was missing an important part of himself.
As he walked down the street, he realized that he felt like a different person. He could make a new beginning and live a new life.
He saw a men’s clothing store and thought, ‘That’s what I need… A new suit…’ He entered the shop and told the salesman, ‘I’d like a new suit’. The elderly tailor eyed him briefly and said, ‘Let’s see…. Size 44 long.’ Joe laughed, ‘That’s right, how did you know?’ ‘Been in the business 60 years!’ the tailor said. Joe tried on the suit it fit him perfectly. Continue reading ‘Joke Of The Week’
