He is survived by his wife Linda, one son – Quinten, one daughter – Leann, three surviving sisters – Gladys, Linda, Carol, and three grandchildren. Using his garage as a workshop, and a 1981 Honda CB900, he had successfully achieved his goal. Joke Of The Week

On  the first day, God created the dog and said, “Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past.  For this, I will give you a life span of  twenty years.” The dog said,  “That’s a long time to be barking.  How about only ten years and I’ll give you back the other ten?” And God saw it was good.

On the second day, God created the monkey and said, “Entertain people, do  tricks, and make them laugh.  For this, I’ll give you a twenty-year life span.” The monkey  said, “Monkey tricks for twenty years?  That’s a pretty long time to perform.  How about I give you back ten like the dog  did?” And God, again saw it was good.

On the third day, God created the cow and said, “You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer’s family.  For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.” The cow said, “That’s kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty  years.  How about twenty and I’ll give back the other  forty?” And God agreed it was good. Bold Swiss Cafe

If you ask me what is and will remain the next 3-year trend in custom bike building I will probably answer one mixing several influences from the past, both classic and vintage, rejuvenated with modern technology parts inspired and “borrowed” from very different purpose motorcycles like drag, race and cruise. Because nobody yet has coined a name for this trend, it’s getting more and more difficult to qualify each new build with the usual motorcycle classifications. The custom featured here is not a Cafe Racer, not a Drag bike, not a Bobber, not a Cruiser. Still, the builder called it a Cafe! betraying what bike image he had in mind when he was doing his thing using a stock Harley FLSTSB Cross Bones as donor bike. Continue reading ‘Bold Swiss Cafe’

In September 2011, when learning of the sudden death of Christian Clayton, co-owner with his father Geri of limited edition manufacturer Sucker Punch Sallys, not many in the industry thought that the company would be able to survive. Mr. Barbeau comes to Sucker Punch Sallys with nearly 20 years of motorcycle industry experience including substantial time in both dealer and OEM operations.  Most recently, he served as the Director of Dealer Development for Indian Motorcycle Company prior to its sale to Polaris in April 2011. Polar Bare To Help Aidan Seeger

Worth mentioning to illustrate again the generosity of bikers helping other bikers.

“Diva Dawn” Santucci, actress, model and old school biker raised donations for 7-year-old Aidan Jack Seeger by plunging in the freezing Atlantic, as promised in only tassels and a thong if she reached the $5,000 goal which was achieved on New Years Eve!

You may know Aidan’s parents, Bobby and Elisa Seeger of Indian Larry Motorcycles, Brooklyn, NY, but what you may not know is that “Indian Larry” Desmedt (1949-2004) was an active member of the Coney Island Polar Bear Club and this event continues to be an annual tradition for the Seeger family and friends. Its Now Legal For Motorcycles To Run Red Lights In Illinois. Sometimes, sensors installed in many intersections to trigger light changes are not sensitive enough to detect the weight of motorcycles. So, the Illinois legislature passed bill HB S860 which allows motorcycles stopped at a red light to go through the light if it doesn’t turn green after a “reasonable” amount of time. But how long is reasonable? The bill doesn’t say…
