Chicara Art

“There are many ways a man can express himself. But there are not many things I can do. I have found something on which I will pour my life. I do not know if I will make it to the end of the road, so all I can do is ride toward that place. A man should take pride in his work and my work gives me confidence for the courage to stand up and face my dream. The only way to capture it” Chicara, Chicara Art

Sons Of Anarchy

The TV series on FX Network (for Fox Extended) is described as an adrenaline drama with darkly comedic undertones about notorious motorcycle club intent of protecting their sheltered small town in Northern California against encroaching drug dealers, corporate developers and overzealous law officers.  It’s airing on Wednesdays at 10 PM EST and I acknowledge that I never got a chance to watch it. And you? Tell me what you think

Most Stupid Tattoo.

The contest is “what you would do for a BlackBerry Storm?” In other words, show off your brand loyalty and you can get a free telephone.

And this guy got a lifesize tattoo with below the words “iPhone sucks”, not realizing that he spent probably more on his tattoo (would say $300/$400) that the price of the cell phone!

Did someone told him that a tattoo is forever? I am telling you, this guy fully deserves to win this stupidity contest.

Cruiser Motorcycles. Where Do We Go From Here?

This article written by Mark Zimmerman.

“Cruisers have been around for nearly four decades now. Since their inception they’ve gone from little more than a novelty to the most popular type of motorcycle sold in this country. The question is: How much longer will the cruiser as we know it remain on the scene? Cruisers got off to a slow start. Early on, few “serious riders” thought they’d be much more than a footnote in motorcycling’s history. Mainstream magazines panned them. Most dealers didn’t particularly like selling them. And many industry insiders thought they’d be gone and forgotten within a few years. Continue reading ‘Cruiser Motorcycles. Where Do We Go From Here?’

Preparing Your Motorcycle For Transport

“Many situations arise that call for shipping a motorcycle, and handing over your cycle to a shipping company can be stressful. Even though the odds of your bike getting damaged during shipment are slight, peace of mind is often lacking until your possession has safely reached its destination. If a situation dictates you to use a shipping company, the following steps will help to minimize the possibility of the bike getting damaged, as well as help you collect compensation in the off-chance that an accident does occur. Ready To Customize An Electric Bike?

If you feel like getting “Green”, know that you will have to sacrifice performance and spend more money than for a gas powered motorcycle. Still the new Electric GPR-S from Electric Motorsport has a 70 mph top speed and a 60 mile range. The bike takes about four hours to charge with an on-board charger or about 1.5 hours with an optional speed.  Good for daily commuting. But the success of this new e-bike is its look, much better than its current competition. It has a powder-coated steel frame with a braced aluminum swing arm. Expect to begin to see a few customized e-bikes in some of the new 2009 bike shows. GPR-S By Electric Motorsports.

Bruce Springsteen Auctions

After playing dozens of solo acoustic gigs for Barack Obama in the last few weeks of the presidential campaign, Bruce showed up last night at “Stand Up For Heroes” and let his Harley Davidson, a guitar he’d just played and his leather jacket be auctioned off for a very good cause. It was the second year in a row that ABC correspondent Bob Woodruff and his wife, Lee, raised money for injured troops returning from the Iraq war. Woodruff, as you may recall, was severely injured with Canadian cameraman Doug Vogt while covering the war near Baghdad on Jan. 29, 2006. He’s since recovered beautifully, as evidenced by his co-hosting duties last night at Town Hall at the star-studded event. The 3 items auctioned by Springsteen raised a total of $125,000.

Mother On A Mission Update:

It’s been awhile, but until I actually received the check in my hand, I have wanted to tell everyone that I was a awarded a grass roots grant by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation in California. Something had to give with gas, food, taxes, and insurance prices rising, donations for my foundation had ceased to exist when a knight in shinning armor pointed me in the right direction. Tennessee Cracking Down On Illegal Motorcycle Helmets

The helmet choice debate began nearly 40 years ago, after many states passed laws requiring all riders to wear helmets. Since 1967, Tennessee’s universal helmet law has required helmets for all riders. Only 20 states have such a law, while the rest either have no law or target specific age groups. Many riders want to be able to choose if they wear a helmet, or at least which kind they can wear. Should it be up to the individual to choose what type of helmet he uses? Do you prefer a Beanie because it’s lighter, cooler, let you hear and see better? Continue reading ‘Tennessee Cracking Down On Illegal Motorcycle Helmets’

GPS Lingerie

Pretext for this post is of course to offer some relief to all men suffering from post election stress…

A new line of lingerie that comes equipped with a GPS! Wonder what my female readers are thinking. Yes, a modern-day high tech chastity belt.
Is it an outrageous way for insecure men to monitor their partners or a security device for women on the go, for example riding solo to the next motorcycle rally?
The lingerie combination set consists of lace bodice, bikini bottom and faux pearl collar, with the GPS device nestled in the see-through part of the bodice next to the waist. At around $800, you can wonder just how many of these will be sold. Not many I guess. Good. GPS Lingerie.

My Prediction. Barack Obama Will Win By A Landslide.

Tuesday November 4th, 11.25 AM EST.

You ask me all the time and I repeat that I will not post here my political preference. But at least I can give you my prediction. Obama will win the presidency by a landslide. He is also going to win in my swing state of Florida.

Let’s see…Then tomorrow I am back to motorcycles.
