Who doesn’t want more power and “sound sexiness”? Samson just released a 3rd generation of its Powerflow exhaust systemt.
The newly implemented and engineered PowerflowIII gets its power through a series of chambers (owner Kenny Price calls this the “Power Chamber”) which help condense and intensify exhaust flow and results in extremely high horsepower and torque and the result is stated to be phenomenal, turning into a higher performance motorcycle any Harley by simply changing out the pipes.
O2 sensor ports accept O.E.M. / Aftermarket sensors. Removable Baffles. Full Coverage Heat Shield. sAnd the sound? Listen to it by jumping to Samson Exhaust.

After working during a couple of years on Softail platforms to develop a line of custom parts to transform them into tough Exile Machines, it will appear as a surprise to many that Russell Mitchell has now turned his attention to the Harley Dyna model. Custom motorcycle legislation being tougher and budgets being tighter, cool bolt-on parts are more than ever extremely popular among factory Harley riders. And as a Custom Builder why not take all main chassis of the line-up to experiment with them by mixing and matching new custom parts. Demonstrating different possible looks from the same base using mainly Exile goodies is of course to inspire as many bikers as possible to buy your own parts to achieve the same results. In Cincinnati, the battle of the tall front wheel is raging between at least 4 companies. No more 21″ or 23″, but 26″ and 30″.
What most people still don’t know is that to fit a 26″ or 30″ size wheel on a Harley Touring Model is not just a bolt-on task. For those who want to venture in these new extreme configurations, Ballistic Cycles is offering not only these wheel sizes but also a combo of a special custom machined triple tree to use in conjunction with their “Neck Cut Wedge Kit” requiring welding. Important to know what it involves before making your decision…

For the vintage enthusiast, S&S Cycle is showing their new 93 cubic inches KN-Series engine now in production. It is very close in appearance to the Harley Knucklehead but is offering more of today’s features in terms of power and improved reliability.
Aside from the much larger 93″ displacement, the main improvement in design is the 1958-1965 style flywheel assembly, which uses a splined sprocket shaft and Timken® sprocket shaft bearing. Although this necessitates the use of a 1955-1964 style inner tin primary cover and primary chain sprocket, the increased flywheel stability, strength, and power handling capacity are worth a slight departure from stock. Good morning everybody. This post from West Palm Beach Airport. I know very well the good reasons why the V-Twin Expo is held in Cincinnati, but I am still bitching when I have to leave in winter sunny and warm South Florida (today 80-63F) for the frigid temperatures (32-25F) and coming snow of Ohio. Well, I will arrive this afternoon at my downtown hotel after hopefully a non-eventful trip without snow delay or confiscated computer gear by a TSA agent… So I should be in Cincinnati reporting every day about this trade show that vendors consider one of the yearly bellwethers of the health of the V-Twin Industry. There are quite a few very good manufacturers offering stylish comfortable seats and standing firmly behind their products.
Since 30 years, Mustang is one of them and still makes all its seats at reasonable prices in their own American facility in New England. For Harley-Davidson Road King, FLHT, FLHX and FLTR 1997-up they released the Tripper FastbackTM seat with a low and sleek cut, offering a good back support for the driver and smoothly tapered in the back for the passenger. At $339, a good bottom line figuratively (comfort) and economically ($$$) Mustang is also producing a large metric bike seats line. 800-243-1392 or visit Mustang Seats.

Jesse James just told me that he is officially launching a franchise of his old school, but actually modern, eco-friendly Cisco Burger Long Beach CA, restaurant. The first franchisee will open in one month in Grantville, Pennsylvania and Jesse mentioned to me that his objective is to open 25 more Cisco Burger joints in the next few months.
It’s in 2006 that Jesse fulfilled his dream of opening a hip, family friendly burger restaurant, opening Cisco Burger (Cisco being the name of his beloved Pit Bull) next to his West Coast Choppers motorcycle shop. After the shop closed, his restaurant remained open and is still a favorite Long Beach destination. Continue reading ‘Exclusive. Jesse James Launching Cisco Burger Franchise.’

Data are in. In January 2011, our readership jumped again to a new absolute record, increasing our leadership and audience gap versus all other direct competitors in our category (digital & print magazines). For the month of January 2011, the Blog had 221,877 visits for 341,422 PageViews (source Google Analytics).
Data in our possession shows that the 2nd direct competitor website in our category has about 1/3rd of our readership. By comparison the largest American V-Twin print magazine claims about 40,000 copies. Beware of websites claiming a number of Hits as the number of Visitors. Hits are only the number of graphics, images, html’s, etc loaded when a visitor opens 1 page. (For ex. one web page containing 15 images, graphics, text links creates 15 Hits, but it’s only 1 visit). During the last year Bert Baker and crew have been busy conceiving several new parts looking old school. Debuting this weekend at the Cincinnati V-Twin Expo (booth 659) the 4 following new BAKER Drivetrain products.
1- The Tin Type Primary (TTP). Available in starter or kick only applications. BAKER took the classic 1936-64 tin primary design and re-constructed it with aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum to facilitate 1970-E84 Big Twin alternator motor case compatibility. BAKER addressed leaks, reduction in chain noise, and make modern starter integration possible. The Modern internal design of the primary utilizes stock style double row primary chains (428 chains) along fine tooth and L-bracket chain tensioner. The chain oiler feed and return provisions mimic the original primary setup so you can run your stock Shovelhead dry clutch components or leave it plugged off to run a wet clutch setup. More than ever, because of the retro styling trend, many custom bikes use a final chain drive. A majority of these chains suffer unnecessarily short lives because of the method or the product with which they are lubricated. A good penetrating-type chain lubricant must displace water, but also clean dirt and wear metals out of the pins of the chain and off of the sprockets. It is essentially an oil change for the chain.
Spectro, one of the world’s foremost manufacturers and packagers of quality specialty lubricants just released a new product called Z-Clean Chain Lube. The letter Z stands for a unique zinc formulation offering superior chain lubrication. The company states that it’s a dramatically effective new chain lube that does more of what you want done, and less of what you don’t. The zinc formulation of Z-Clean does not attract dirt, sand or grit, and so will not fling off when used as directed. It provides unsurpassed anti-wear protection, resulting in longer chain and sprocket life. Z-Clean Chain Lube is suitable for O-ring and roller type chains, both for on-road and off-road use. Long time I didn’t talk about a biker build-off, this one lasting 3 days, live front of the public and of course the cameras… The recent European Biker Build-Off was in its 4th edition and held during the 200+ bike show of Bad Salzuffen in Germany, also home of the Custombike Fair Trade & Exhibition. Two teams of 4 people, little room, all the tools, and of course some pre-fabricated or at least ready to be finished or painted parts..
In each competition a German custom builder challenges another builder from the rest of the world. On one side, German Bodo Hayen from Bike Smiede near Stuttgart, famous for its “Triangular” street legal creation. On the other side Cyprus born Mario Kyprianides from Chopper Kulture whose shop is located somewhere in the desert of Abu Dhabi and well known for his Daytona and Sturgis award winning creation called “Courtesan”. No rules, except a short deadline, the requirement to use only a V-Twin engine and merit being given to the bike with the most hand fabricated parts.
